Alien: Romulus - Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead) to write/direct

Yup I just watched the trailer wish I hadn’t…

Gives you the reason why they are on the space station……

Still looks amazing… the teeth on the xeno is pure awesome

It gave me Dead Space vibes and reminded me of the USG Ishimura.

I hope it's good, it looks like it might be hitting all the right notes. I never really understood the direction the franchise took with Prometheus and Covenant, they just caused more issues in the whole continuity of things for me rather than giving answers (which I think I preferred the mystery anyway).

I was going to post the final trailer but i regret watching it. It kinda spoiled it for showing character deaths and the gist of what happens etc. :(
I’ve avoided the trailers for this very reason. For whatever reason studios are obsessed with spoiling films with their trailers now days.

Trailers have been too spoilery for far too long. I don’t bother watching them any more.

Looking forward to this. Hopefully it’ll be a really good Alien film, we need one after the, at best, average films in recent years.

Im actually not really looking forward to this if its just a remake from alien ... I know many people say prometheus wasnt what alien(s) is supposed to be - but I really like the whole thing - advanced race with a weapon that they used and cultivated but that got away from them etc ... anyways - I feel like I already know the plot of Romulus and I havnt even seen the movie. I mean dont get me wrong Ill still see the movie but rather have a more interesting movie then just alien on ship kills eveyone ... but ...

Same could be said for Friday the 13, Scream and Halloween.

I’m all for Alien going back to their roots. Just hope I care enough for the main cast otherwise I’m rooting for the xeno!!!

I've high hopes for this , but then again i have for every film since Aliens.

Dont Breathe took a genre staple of the home invasion movie but came out as a pretty tight masterclass in tension helped by great sound design. If we get that level of suspense etc , could be a good ride.

It is funny that though an excellent movie I have a hard time watching Alien now as the technology so dates it, whereas Aliens though the tech is dated it kind of makes sense (not just flashy things to try and dazzle the audience) and you can believe the military would stick with something like that for reliability and maintenance reasons, etc.

Saw the trailer at deadpool. Left me completely cold, no emotional engagement at all, and when the end "alien" title appeared my initial thought was that they've hit rock bottom.

Trap seemed a better film from the trailer.
