One guy has posted a sweetfx config, however, no idea what it is like as he won't be putting any effort into the thread or further improving the config for this reason:

I have no sympathy for the people that pre-ordered. It was pretty obvious the game would be dire (I even said so in this thread before it was released that a review embargo blatantly shows this fact).
I still think games publishers should be forced to either release a demo or offer a 15-30 min refund time through steam. PC gaming is not cheap and the amount of junk released that you can't get refunds on is the reason I gave up on AAA titles and never ever buy them anymore. I stick to Indie games and steam sales nowadays.

I've never understood pre-ordering games.
So many terrible, broken games are released now, but people fall for the hype every time.
This game might get a look in when it's down to comically low prices in Steam sales, until then... No thanks!

Am I right in thinking from the screenshots that there's a hard-as-nails Hispanic female marine in this one too? It must be a colonial marine regulation or something.
Despite it being a bit of a poor game, laughable at times, I am finding it a lot of fun playing through the campaign in co-op with my friends. We got about half way through before calling it a night. Looking forward to playing it again tonight
It's not all bad really. It doesn't have to have the best graphics or animations to be a fun game. I mean, just look at how popular stuff like the Dayz mod for Arma 2 is.

I decided to take one for the AvP2 community by pre-ordering this game, it now feels like I'm receiving one for the AvP2 community....rough and hard for each person.
In all seriousness though, the single player is shoddy but the multiplayer is quite fun although co-op ultimate badass is way too easy and they give far too much ammo.

What a shame to read such reviews of what was for many a hope of a decent aliens game. How can they mess up such a sure fire hit, all they had to do was remake the Aliens movie into a fps, how hard is this?
the best aliens game to date is still the Playstation Aliens Trilogy - how sad is that?
Oh well the wait continues. Glad I didn't take the plunge with this, my pre ordering of new games has dropped a lot recently.. Years ago, I'd have loads on pre order, this year only one - Tomb Raider.

Don't believe everything you read, much worse games out with half the uproar. It's a decent little game
I must admit, I am a HUGE Aliens fan, and I'm really considering buying it, for some motion tracking loving..
Sometimes, you do think - are they just jumping on the bandwagon? I do keep reading bad mouthing rants and posts by the same select few on these forums alone with not just this game, but other games as well..

I didn't buy Dead Space 3 due to neg comments about it being a direct console port, now I'm reading its quite decent and not too bad on PC and runs really well? figures..!! lol

I'm going to hold off until it's under a tenner is a steam sale. There's always an element of bandwagon jumping, it's hip to hate etc, but it looks like the entire review industry is hammering this one mercilessly, without exception. Can't be a good sign, I mean they usually manage to pay off at least one or two sites

Yeah Dead Space 3 is a good little game to, trouble is half the people who say bad stuff have not even played either game. They just jump on said band wagon, don't get me wrong I am not saying Aliens is amazing it does have stuff that should have been better. But overall the campaign is pretty decent and it looks nice to.

Maybe when its a fiver on steam sales but only so i have another co-op game i can play with a mate.
The problem is you can tell parts of the game are so outdated, for example when the 2 ships collide the cut scene looks like something from a 2003 game, the AI is so poor some of the soldiers won't even turn round when you're shooting them in the back, they'll continue to hide from someone in front of them and crouch down so you can take about 6 shots with a pistol to kill them while standing still.
The multiplayer is the most fun aspect of the game and even then the match making system is horrible and there's barely any maps available.
I really wish they had the survivor mode from AvP2 in this game, 16 man fun times

deadspace 3 is not bad but it does have more of a console feel to it now than pc some of the settings are stunning so atleast they put effort into it.
this is the biggest piece of garbage on the pc anyone defending the game is lying through there teeth only justifying there purchase.
textures, graphics ,gameplay are all some of worst i have seen in many years looks like a title from 1990 and plays like a console game in purest form. all aiming is basically auto lock. avoid i would give 2/10.
