Alienware announces the AW2725DF and AW3225QF (worlds first 4k 240hz and worlds first 1440p 360hz QD-OLED monitors - launches January 2024)

It's just a shame that gsync doesn't work properly due to the vrr flicker. Having to turn it off isn't a great option. Limiting your games to the average FPS (in silent hill 2 that's 70 for me) isn't great use of a 240hz monitor.

Other than that the IQ is great.

But like it is just in a few dark games no? Not like it impacts every game.

Sneaky ********... Thought I wouldn't notice it trying it's luck once again this morning.

I haven't followed the entire thread so not sure if you've tried this, but:

C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\ and find the awcc folder. Inside it, there's a AWCCInstallationManager.exe

Take ownership and delete it, hopefully that stops it installing from now on

I’ve just replaced my aw34dwf today with the 32qf and wow what an upgrade in image quality. I wasn’t unhappy with the dwf but after reading this thread for the past few months i realised I need it.

I like the extra height and I do miss the extra width but wow 4k and 240hz is just amazing, granted 240 hz is hard to achieve in a lot of games.

I managed to get it for £755 with a discount code from work too so I’m very happy

It's not about high Hz gaming though, even on desktop the 240Hz is visibly a much nicer experience just moving the mouse around and dragging windows etc, looks and feels snappier than 144-175Hz.

I am considering this swap too. It's not that I am not happy with my aw34dwf, I love it and it's been completely problem free for two years. However, I have never experienced 4K and I am curious. I am worried that I will miss ultrawide though as I have had 34in ultrawides since 2016.

Grabbed a 32QF myself. Wasn’t aggressive with the vouchers and cashback as Amex had a cheeky £100 if you spend over £750.

Looking forward to the jump up from my 27GL850. Not a bad panel but I’m pressed with how much monitors have changed in the last four/five years.

Are there any live discount codes for this monitor at the moment? I looked on my work scheme and we have Dell discount, however this model and one other are the only models specifically listed as excluded.. typical!

I’ve got work code if you want one. Takes it down to £755

Also topcashback offering 12% cashback so worth a try using them.
