I'm watching it.
It honestly ever so slightly puts me off getting another Dell / AW monitor.

I've managed to go since Feb without it sneaking on. I'm normally good with stuff also, driver updates disable from Windows updates via registry and group policies etc. Never seen on pop up in optional updates. I'm thinking 24h2 had something to do with it. Will check settings when I get home tonight

I just did a clean install of Windows 11 following my move to a new AM5 motherboard.. without the USB cable hooked up.. just the DisplayPort cable. Windows update still installs the Alienware command centre. I didn't install any other Dell software at all. Very annoying.

Yep. Alienware keeps reinstalling on mine too. Win 11 24H2.
Have set the led profiles to be off as I want but I'd rathere not have it on my pc.
Will see if I can just disable the service instead.

Then you would benefit from going 4K sir :)
Yeah I like 4k for how great it looks - but I also play a lot of high paced fps games and so I do feel a benefit of playing at 240+fps. Not sure I've got the hardware to be playing games at 4k 240fps though right now. Looking forward to seeing what 27" 4k OLEDs are revealed at CES.

Yeah, I don't play those sorts of games hardly ever. So the choice is obvious for me.

I now and then play a bit of counter strike 2

then when windows update it resets the setting... someone go punch the microsoft ceo in the face or something.

never hated something more...

windows won;t install that crap if you don't use the data cable between the monitor and your pc, but it probably disables anu usb hub the monitor has :/

i've got it disabled, and windows update optional crap.

AW installed it self 3 times in the last day....

seriously thinking about never buying a dell monitor again

Definitely a windows 11 problem, but having said that, once I disabled it when I was on win 11 23h2, it never came back.

I get zero hassle on windows 10.
