Alienware announces the AW2725DF and AW3225QF (worlds first 4k 240hz and worlds first 1440p 360hz QD-OLED monitors - launches January 2024)

I've entrusted the wife to receive the delivery. She best not let me down! :p

What Windows setting have people been using to help prevent burn in with OLED? Usual things like dark mode, auto hide taskbar and set screen saver to come on after a few minutes? Is there anything else I'm missing? Or do you even bother with these at all?
Your wife when you get home
"Darling, I plugged the screen in for you and tested to check it was working. It's been left on all day on your desktop and seems to be fine"

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I put my wallpaper folder on shuffle and have it change every minute, looks good when on desktop and also stops a static image being on screen for too long

Bit of a mess isn't it. Having to do all of this to avoid issues.

I mean there is a 3 year burn in guarantee :p
Honestly I have the first gen QD Oled, had it since launch, I do the panel maintenance when it pops up, but other than that I do nothing else, and have been using it 10 hours plus a day for work and games and have no hint of burn in. I'm not worried about it. I'm more likely to sell the screen and upgrade before I get a hint of an issue with oleds these days.

Looks like mine will be around the expected delivery date, when I view my order it says 'Your order is being scheduled for production and is on track to meet the estimated arrival date.'

I'll update if it changes.

I have had the AW32 for about five days now (in the US of A) and it has been AMAZING!

I owned the AW34 oled when it came out and while fun the 1440p and 175hz was limiting.

Games like Halo Infinite which I thought were mediocre when played on my MiniLeds, absolutely ROCK on the AW32. I use to own a FW900 and the motion clarity is almost there....but its double resolution, no screen tearing, larger screen and HDR absolutely put it over the top as the new King of Gaming displays.

I am a bit chuffed though, because it replaces my G8 Neo as my second monitor and it does not handle the task of work productivity overflow from my first monitor well, due to its dimness in a lighted environment and text that needs to be run at 125% or higher. Even with its AG coating the G8 Text was more crisp at 100% scaling.

So moral of the story is, keep your miniLED for productivity and web surfing and use this AW32 for gaming.....its INCREDIBLE for gaming, especially in a light controlled room.

When did you order yours? I ordered mine on the 6th and upto until yesterday after I had the same message as you. Then changed to delivery today and now its waiting for me at home :D

Thanks for your insight mate, that was my thoughts as well in terms of what my approach would be. I'm not terribly concerned at all with it :)

Dunno if it's been made clear but for those worrying about burn in etc these use the 3rd gen panels unlike the AW3423 models which used 1st gen, I've never heard of a issue with 2nd gen which Samsung said was 2x as durable, and the 3rd gen is 2x again so realistically aside from extreme cases it shouldn't be a thing to ever worry about
