Only seen youtube clips but 6.5mil for a 23 year old german looks like a decent deal. :)

Youtube is wonderfully deceptive! Best video is of Steve De Ridder, makes him out to be the dutch adam lallana, turned out to be a right lemon! (ok got a key goal for us but still very poor)

Watched Marin quite a bit last year or the year before (can't remember), he is pretty good, not the finished article though, but I reckon a move to England will improve him and make him great

So Bale says he would leave if spurs don't get champs league, and now Arry says he's not sure that modric will be staying. Looks like they'll be losing their manager too - not a great end of the season for spurs!

i'd expect nothing less from redknapp. he seems intent on turning us into a PR disaster

gutted marin's gone to chelsea too!

No matter how infuriating he can be on too many occasions, Nani is set to stay (and I dont think there was ever a chance of him leaving to be honest).

He needs to push on next season though imo and improve his consistancy

Better quotes re Kagawa....

BERLIN — German champions Borussia Dortmund are resigned to losing playmaker Shinji Kagawa, who is said to be considering a switch to the Premier League amid reports of an enticing offer from Manchester United.

Dortmund president Reinhard Rauball has told the 23-year-old Japanese midfielder, whose contract expires in 2013, he must sign an extension by Monday as they do not want to risk losing him on a free transfer.

Dortmund's director of sport Michael Zorc says he has spoken to Kagawa and Borussia are no closer to securing the winger's signature.

"I spoke to Shinji and his advisor last week and to date he is not willing to extend his contract with Borussia Dortmund," said Zorc.

"We have a Plan A and B and we will follow one of them.

"We won't gamble, but he has a specific career plan and he plans to play in England.

"We have to accept that, even if we don't find it good."

Zorc added that it makes no sense to wait another 12 months and risk losing him for free.

"Because he now has a certain market value, there is an economic rationality which has to be followed," he said.

According to reports in the German media, Manchester United are said to have offered Kagawa a three-year deal.

Kagawa has been considered one of the Bundesliga's success stories over the last two seasons having orchestrated Dortmund's surge to the title after joining the club from J-League side Cerezo Osaka in 2010 for just 350,000 euros.

Dortmund beat relegated Kaiserslautern 5-2 on Saturday to go eight points clear at the top of the table and within sight of breaking the most points collected in a single Bundesliga season.

So it seems he's definitely being sold this summer and it looks increasingly likely he'll be coming to the PL. No surprise I've just read City are interested as well though and I think most reports say Chelsea have an interest as well.

Apparently we've offered him 96k/week which seems ridiculously high.

I think he could definitely do a job for us though, we need an intelligent and quick central attacking player.

Would we play him centrally though? I've seen very little of him but from what I've read over on the CAF when he operates centrally it's in the same areas that Rooney already does rather than actually in midfield. Seems to me if we did sign him it would put an end to the rumours over Gaitan and Hazard

^^^ Great skill, after the game (which I presume finished 2-1 to Lille) Hazard comfirmed he's coming to the PL next season.....
