Yeah they said that last summer as well (though I thought it was 50m then) Anyway we won't be after him, no way we'll buy a player from Brazil imo.
 
I don't think Podolski's signing necessarily means that RvP will be leaving, however what it does mean is that at least a transfer has been lined up in April rather than leaving it until August.

I think if RvP won't commit to a new deal it would make sense to cash in while his stock is high (also before he gets another injury), Arsenal have a lot of backup strikers/forwards waiting in the wings (Vela/Chamakh/Park/Bendtner/Campbell/Walcott/Gervinho etc). Can't afford to let him leave on a free.

how many prime Brazilian strikers have played in the premiership? the good ones usually gravitate towards Spain or Italy and the averagely good ones end up spattered about, many lost and forgotten in deepest, coldest Russia.

if you were to ask what Brazilian players had ripped English clubs apart then ronaldos hattrick for real vs utd and kaka also.

i can't remember when an English club signed a Brazilian of that quality. we tend to buy more argentines.

yeah Ive just read that too - its a real pity (more from the fact that Utd cant keep any kids very long, even imports from a few years ago)

I know there are others on the verges, but most likely will go out on loan for a year or two before we see them even attempt to play for Utd in Carling Cup etc.

By my reckoning that means there will be several squad places available to fill (Pogba, Morrison, Owen, Berba, PIG, Anderson? Fabio, Fryers?) , with one space possibly taken by the City defender left unregistered since Jan.
 
Would give us 3 pretty decent centre backs. Just need a left back now really providing Wilshere gets back to full fitness for next season. Would quite like a very defensive minded player too.

Wont believe till i see that hes signed for us, as i said id love to have him. Next season with a front line of RVP and Podolski and a backline consisting of Verm, Kos and Vertonghen...mmmm ill be happy with that.

Nah RVP is now made out of something stupidly strong:p so he wont be breaking down anytime soon
 
I'd still like us to buy another full back. SuperJenks and the Chef don't inspire me with confidence, as awesome as they both are.
