Kagawa isn't unknown he's brilliant! If you were getting him I doubt you'd buy Hazard/Modric, it's nothing to do with commercial reasons, he'd be straight in your first team

You've obviously seen him more than the rest of us, why do you think signing Kagawa means no Modric? Can Kagawa play centre midfield in a midfield 2?

All of this discussion wouldn't be complete without an obligatory Youtube compilation video that can make anyone look great:

He looks half decent doesn't he :) He will be a solid partner to Andreas Pereira, our new bright hope for the future now Morrison and likely Pogba have gone :D

Manchester United *should* have a very busy transfer window.

There is a lot of dead wood at the club, the first eleven needs improving and the entire squad and team could benefit from a bit of a shake up.

/Back to my football club; I expect Dave Jones will ring big changes to what is basically a Gary Megson style squad. I hope we manage to hold on to a few players, but expect pretty whole sale changes. It's nice to be going in to the close season with an owner who can invest some 'proper' money in to the squad / club :)

Twitter has exploded with the "news" that Yann M'Villa has signed a four year deal with Arsenal.

Also seems Steve Bould has been promoted to assistant manager. He has done very good things at the academy. Coaching wise getting Dennis back in the fold and things will start to look good.

Fingers crossed that its true...from what i have heard hes pretty decent.

All we need now is to bag and tag Vertonghen from Ajax, i know VDV whose now in charge of transfers at Spurs:p has said hes going there but i hope not, would rather see him at Arsenal where he has a chance of CL footie...fingers crossed we beat WBA the coming weekend :/

Haven't seen him myself but apparently exactly the type of midfielder we need :(

Look forward to seeing him next season if the rumours are true, tbf it's been on the cards for a while, his name is often linked with Arsenal

Yeah, he's being hailed as the next Vieira, but even better.

Would have liked him but oh well. :(

Kagawa is a central, creative mid, usually plays in front of two mids, so you'd imagine Cleverley and Carrick would be behind him. He's a lot more creative than Modric, more dynamic too and is the master of counter attacks and playing with pace. Your only problem is that he plays exactly where Rooney likes to play, and Rooney would get in the way unless he was the focal point of your attack, iirc the role he played two years ago where he got 30 goals.

I suppose he can play wide but that's only because of his quality and versatility, there's no mistaking he's a CAM though and you'd be crazy to buy him and not put him there, again you'd be wasting him putting him in a CM 2, as I say, he's crazy good on the counter which usually involves him playing a few yards ahead of the DM's.

I wonder how many players we'll be getting rid of in the summer. We've wasted a year of Park's career, Chamakh has been linked constantly with a move back to the French league, Bendtner has said he doesn't plan on staying at Arsenal, Vela has said he wants to leave and I imagine we'll get rid of Squillaci.

One thing which concerns me is the way Wenger has been talking about van Persie. I think I read an article where Wenger said even if van Persie doesn't sign a new contract with us he'll still be playing at Arsenal next season, which suggests to me that Wenger is happy with letting him leave for nothing. There's no way that can happen and the whole situation should have been sorted out by now.

I'm glad we've got a bit of transfer business done really early but RVP staying or leaving is the single biggest issue. Hoping that Walcott doesn't extend and buggers off to Juventus.

Indeed he is!
Sounds like should both Utd and City agree fees with Lille, he'll sign for whichever team offers him the most money per week. So that's Man City then.

Interestingly, I checked Wikipedia to see which team Hazard plays for now, as I wasn't sure. In the main paragraph it says he plays for Lille. On the right hand side column, it says he plays for Man Utd. A cheeky edit by a rogue Wikipedia-er I reckon. :p
