Assuming Arsenal's interest is genuine... he'd only choose Tottenham if they're offering more money :o. Also, you write that in italics, so I assume it's copied and pasted from somewhere... yet you neglect to post the source . Fancy doing so?

I think it's more of a case that Spurs can guarantee a starting place in his prefered posistion of center back. Whereas I believe Arsenal wouldn't be able to guarantee a starting place and would use him more a utility player filling in at full back similar to Phil Jones. But considering Arsenals injury record with defenders he would probably play 38 league games. Personally from what I have seen of him (limited) he seems as good as Vermaelen. well at least on the form Vermaelen has been on the last couple months. Would be a great signing for Spurs, as he is obvious captain material, and is an ideal ball playing CB to compliment the physicality of the much improved Kaboul. As it stands it's still just twitter rumours, bucket of salt needed.

Sheffield Wednesday transfer news (for the none of you that care);

Goalkeepers Sean Cuff and Richard O'Donnell, defender Jon Otsemebor, midfielder Chris Sedgwick and strikers Clinton Morrison and Vadaine Oliver are all being allowed to leave on frees.

LINK.

Pleased to see some of the deadwood being let go, hopefully can shift some more.

Sheffield Wednesday boss Dave Jones is hopeful of securing a permanent deal for Reading loanee Michail Antonio.

LINK.

Hopefully we can sign Antonio up, certainly played well when we had him on loan :)

Quite possibly, rumoured that he showed him around London.

This stadium is amazing! Sorry Jan, that's the Olympic Stadium.
What about this one! It's huge! Sorry Jan, that's the Emirates. You must say it is horrible. It is written into my contract not to say anything nice about Arsenal.
What about this one Rafael? it is quite good? Sorry Jan, That's Twickenham. They play Rugby there. Etc etc? :D

I think you have a good chance, Tunmmy. Especially as we have just signed Garath McCleary from Nottingham Forest.

If anything, I would like to see him stay on loan for another season. Glad he has been playing well for you he seems a lot better than when he has played for us. Maybe he just needs games.

manu wont match citys wages.

citys wage bill must be ridiculous with the amount of people pulling in 150k+ a week.

i would have also thought RVP is worth more than 25 mill. complete bargain at that price.

Antonio looks pretty good, he was amazing in the last game of the season.

Heard Wednesday were in for Jordan Rhodes, any truth in it??

He was at the Emirates for the AC Milan game

He was at WHL for the Fulham game

He has apparently said he wants to join Spurs.

michael owen ‏@themichaelowen

The Manager informed me after our testimonial match on Tuesday that the club would not be offering me a new contract.

That should free up the books a little bit.

I doubt Owen was on much wage wise but crucially it frees up a space in the 25 man squad for players who need to be registered under the FA's rule and what with Fabio also going albeit on loan it gives us space for at least 2 new signings (could be more I haven't worked it out recently)

Looks like we could be having a bit of a clear-out over the summer.

Berbatov
Owen
Park - maybe
Pogba
Nani - maybe
Anderson - maybe

If we cleared all those off our books we would have a nice war chest and lots of wages to go around. Looking forward to seeing what we do in the transfer window. I can't imagine fergie will want to let City get further ahead so I expect we will sign at least 3 players of quality.

berbatov is of for sure. he played the other night in ireland AFAIK and the most energetic he looked all night was when he ran off to be subbed.

bendtner is unlikely to stay at sunderland and arsenal don't want him. the reason he watched sundays game against united from the stands is because he went walkabout whilst waiting for the bus from the hotel, missed it and had to get a cab there. o'neill was fuming.

Surely Macheda is likely to go as well? Can't see a future for him with us.

I was going to mention him but hes on loan at the moment so I have no idea what he is going to be up to next season. As far as I understand, his loan moves have not been massively successful.

Good luck to Owen. If we're selling berbatov as well then I'd bring in a deep lying forward and force Rooney to play up top tbh.

RVP is amazing but not what United need imo.
