Amanda Knoxx retrial

I don't trust Knox or the Italian justice system, I'm not saying Knox is a killer but there is something about her that does not inspire confidence in her story.

I recall first hearing details on the news and then thinking it was pretty much case closed when they caught Rudy Guede. Sadly no.

The Knox and Sollecito convictions appear to be a huge miscarriage of justice. There is little to no credible evidence that anyone other than Guede was involved.

Should have been a simple case without incompetent police and prosecutors. Instead, Guede, the man who can conclusively be demonstrated to have carried out the sexual assault and murder, gets his sentence reduced to 16 years on appeal and may be out sooner.

I got a proper bee in my bonnet about this case. Miscarriages of justice really do my head in.

Indeed. There's not much to go on for Knox apart from her and Sollecito were hugging and kissing and it looked "Strange"..... lol

Did they ever establish a clear motive for murder?

The first case was based on a sex game gone wrong and the case just finished indicated the murder transpired because of an argument over the cleanliness of the apartment.

I would take it from the above that in effect they have no clue on what the motive was.

Let's be honest, the Italian legal system is just about the worst in the developed world (one air crash investigator actually said it was the worst place on earth to try and investigate a crime lol). Whatever the verdict, you can pretty much bet the opposite is true XD

Apparently Rudy Guede didn't flush the toilet and so Amanda Knox and Raffaelle Sollecito killed Meredith Kercher for it.

To be honest you couldn't make this stuff up. (Well, you can if you are an Italian prosecutor)

What was the new evidence that caused the conviction this time round exactly?

With no clear motive, no witnesses, the DNA evidence is suspect. How exactly does this pass the reasonable doubt criteria ?!

all this does is highlight how moronic the italian legal system is.
the US wont extradite knox on such flimsy 'evidence' and nor should they.

There is something incredible about this case, I have never seen anything like the polarisation it has caused and the way it has been handled by the media can only be described as utterly bizarre.

A known violent criminal Rudy Guede had his DNA all over Merediths body and inside her. After going on the run to Germany the night of the murder, he was caught and is currently in prison for the murder. Why on earth anyone else needs to be involved is beyond me. There is no evidence of any worth against Knox, Guede is the only one who said she was involved to get his sentence lowered after he was told she had been questioned. He has now confessed to the murder in jail.

Rudy's name almost gets no mention anywhere, I bet half the people saying Knox is guilty know nothing about him, it is just bizarre and infuriating. It must be like a living nightmare being falsely convicted like this.

The autopsy stated that the murder was committed by multiple people.

There is DNA evidence that puts Knox at the very least involved with the cleanup of the murder.

That said, this is a very, very odd case, and I'm not sure at all about what actually happened.
