Saw it on their site this morning while I was ordering something else from them.

As I am already a Prime customer I thought it would be rude of me not to accept their kind offer!

They have already confirmed that it will be delivered on launch day, which is 15th April, so I have 3 weeks to wait!
 
Ordered Fire Stick, with free prime trial. So after deduction in May - £7.

Tempted to ditch Sky Tv now I have amazon prime. So long as there is enough for the kids to watch that should do.

Prime isn't good enough to be a replacement for sky on it's own, as you still have to pay extra to watch most things unfortunately. It's really only a supplement for when you have other things like Netflix and NowTV.

Put it this way, if it didn't include next day delivery when shopping on Amazon it wouldn't be worth the subscription.

agreed - however I get a lot of stuff from Amazon so next day is good, Fire stick for £7 is good, various bits of movies/tv/series etc is fine.

I cancelled sports and movies a while back with sky so getting some movies back is fine as a bundle.
 
New update appears to have installed today giving access to external storage. The PIN entry is better now as only yourself now knows what you have entered.

I was wondering about this update, but I havent had time to investigate. Does this mean my RPi Kodi box is essentially redundant? I can install SPMC, frig it to get an icon and be done with it? :confused:

Also, has anyone used Curzon home cinema? I've viewed a few trailers which stuttered a bit so I'm a bit wary of actually paying for a film if the performance/quality is no good.. ?

How do you mean? Mine always went to sleep after a while. Have they stuck a button to do it somewhere now?
