Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

I took a prime trial on 14th November as I thought with xmas coming ect it would be handy. on the 13th of December I went into my account and cancelled it so as to not be billed. roll onto today and I ordered 2 items and one was free next day "prime" , so I went into my account and discovered I was still a prime member . so I cancelled again then rang them up. according to the women on the phone I was still an active member despite cancelling twice online, she cancelled it and refunded me the £16 but just be wary that you might think you have cancelled but it clearly sometimes doesn't work. once my items arrive I am closing my account all together. Many times this last year they have had money for sneakily signing the kids up via their fire tabs things.

Here is a new one.

Free prime priority delivery on a cable, delivery 4 feb.

so 3-4 days. Thats bad enough on its own, where is the next day.

I then decided to check what delivery options are available, and the other option is standard delivery with same delivery date. LOL.

So standard and priority delivery same delivery date. But they get to headline "free priority delivery".

I think it's worth pointing out. Amazon do seem to suggest prime allows next day. If it's not the case don't bother putting 'prime' delivery next to the seller as otherwise it's almost like false advertising.

I think Amazon have added a few days to all deliveries due to the weather.

5th time in two months Amazon have managed to send a package to completely the wrong city! Never had this problem before 4-5 months ago and now it's becoming more and more common.

Typical as I needed the item before the weekend and I was going to be in all day today anyway. If they try and deliver tomorrow then you just know it'll be in the time period when I have to be out of the house.

I have honestly got no idea why I would ever subscribe to Prime unless I wanted the Music/Video. It's rate that I would spend less than £20 and I am consistently getting free super saver deliveries next day....

Ordered 16th March @ 14:10
Dispatch email 17th March @ 00:02 with estimated delivery of Monday 18th
Further email 17th March @ 09:34 stating the delivery will be today and I can track my package, as of the time of posting the driver is 5 stops away (10:12).

The fulfilment centre is 70 miles away but I am not in a same day area.

Amazon Prime Music went drastically down hill last year. They introduced a "premium" service which is extra cost again. Now around one in three times I try to play a song on Amazon Prime it reports that it's not available but is (coincidentally) available on their premium subscription and would you like to subscribe to that for a special offer?

No, I wouldn't. And in fact cancelled my Amazon Prime because of it.

Order all the time, delivery is quick, had maybe 2 items delivered to the wrong address in 9 years - hop on live chat, replacement dispatched and with me the following day, plenty of good shows on prime vid.

Great service.

Looks like pantry is going downhill fast - increasingly less of the useful stuff so I've not been using it as often but now enforcing minimum spend and a higher price for the first box and to add insult to injury the box is now just a tatty regular thin walled one rather than the more substantial pantry boxes that atleast kind of justified the delivery fee as they were often useful for reusing.

Think I'll just start using a regular supermarket again more often.

Indeed. Pantry used to be good, but when I left last year I found that the prices were increasingly higher than the normal supermarket prices, let alone the sales. It felt like being penalised rather than rewarded for regular, consistent ordering of the same goods.

Prime however continues to be marvellous. Next day with no problems.

Yeah I am shocked how bad pantry has got.

Pretty much every deal requires you to spend £90 wtf!!!.
Also the choice of products has massively reduced so clearly some kind of cost optimisation process has happened to reduce SKU's.
Prices gone up noticeably so they easily above the supermarkets. Given supermarkets have the overheads of running stores, this definitely shouldnt be happening.

Been on and off for me this year - Jan/Feb I was seeing a lot more stuff badged as Prime but when you actually got to the end of the process became apparent was actually "expedited" 2-3 day delivery, etc. and some next day deliveries turning into 2 days - but so far March has been a bit more of a return to form.

Yeah I was still having to do a "core" supermarket run but I could fill in a lot of incidental stuff and was more convenient for some stuff with pantry but now it isn't so useful.

yeah I keep seeing that also. Was almost unheard off a couple of years but is pretty common now.
