Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

Prime itself I have no major issue with but damn... their delivery service is shocking! Its gone downhill even further recently. 4 failed delivery attempts on 3 different items to Amazon pickup locations in the last 5 days. Absolute joke! Apparently they are going to re-attempt delivery tomorrow... I'm not holding my breathe! If its not here tomorrow order will be cancelled!
The only reason I use Amazon is for the convenience, its rapidly coming to the point where its no longer convenient. At this rate I've probably got more chance of winning the lottery than having something delivered successfully first time.

For me they have historically been poor as I think they prioritise deliveries to business addresses, then during covid with large WFH, it massively improved, but now has partially reverted again.

I had one delivery after midnight on prime pre covid and I remember telling the delivery driver he should have stopped earlier, but his pride was he wanted all deliveries made.

Weekend deliveries are fine (with most offices closed), usually arrive before midday. Its week day deliveries which arrive ridicuosly late.

This is the sort of **** I hate. Just trying to order something and it says order within 7h 18m for delivery by 1300 tomorrow.

Great, we have an Amazon locker at work and I'm on 1400-2200. Get to the checkout and there's no option for next day.

I've had this before, I suspect it's down to available space in the locker. If it only has 20 lockers and 20 people have already arranged delivery then it can't be delivered on that day.

I remember it being a nightmare to find a locker around black Friday.

Get ready to practice your best grumpy cat faces when things go wrong with delivery etc., Black Friday week starts at midnight tonight.

Not prime related, and while i'm not fussed about the delivery times, these deliveries did make me laugh.

Ordered from a bicycle shop, gets delivered by amazon, i also had delivery updates via email and txt (random 6 digit number) that look like they'd be a scam.

Shipped: You have a package from a seller. Your package will arrive on Saturday, 26 November. Track package at https://amzn.eu/d/27sl1t5

Prior to ordering that i did make a purchase from a 3rd party seller on amazon that is fulfilled by amazon. This was given a delivery day of today when i made the order. An email then said Saturday instead, this was then scheduled back for today, now it's Monday. Supposed to be coming via DPD. How bizarre. Logistics nightmare for those organising i expect.

Prime is getting worse, I just did an order which luckily i,m in no hurry for and the prime delivery is 5 days, so much for prime being next day.

Noticed they now following the practice of other companies and hiding their phone number, after some extreme effort I managed to find a way to talk to a chat bot lol.

Luckily found the number via other means.

A week my last order direct from Amazon took to dispatch, ordered 18th, estimated delivery date the 5th...Thankfully it seems like it's going to be delivered today.

I get that it's black friday and all that but I don't think I've ever had a business take a week to dispatch an in stock product before. Jeff, lad, can you rehire those thousands of workers you laid off please.

I was looking for a new item which costs £60 everywhere but on Amazon it's £14.
It is actually being sold by the company and strangely on their main page it says £14 but the model below it is £52.
This doesn't make sense and £14 can't be correct.
Are Amazon and the company bound by that price?
I'm scared to Buy It Now just in case it reverts back to £60.

So, this DPD parcel is still listed as collected, but amazon are telling me i can "request a refund now". What's that supposed to mean?

It's my understanding they're supposed to, but retailers often bs themselves out of it.

worst thing that happens is that they email you cancelling the order due to a misprice.

I've ordered it but a Jan 10th delivery which I'm not bothered about.

So scroll down this page to the Dayblazer 1500 front light and then look at the cheaper model to the right of it - doesn't make sense unless my old brain is getting confused.

I've been using their old 700 for years and decided on an update so hopefully they honour that price.
Amazon also take another 10% off it.

Worst that can happen is they cancel your order, once you have hit the buy button, they either sell it to you for that price or cancel.

Pretty much this - a contract of sale is not final until money has changed hands, up until that point, they can cancel, i.e. in the case of a pricing error. Equally thay can refund you after you've paid in the case of a stock shortage etc.

I bought a thing recently on Amazon as it was cheaper than buying it from the online shop i'd normally buy it from - -

Guess what, when it arrived the order was fulfilled by - you guessed it, the same shop :D

It’s not really final until they deliver it to you.

At any point up until the courier hands it over they could cancel it and recall the package back.

If they do, they’ll just refund you.
