Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

yes and yes to stop someone nicking it in transit or just leaving it in some random place. Normally only get it for things like expensive electronics.

Its expensive lego! :D

Must be happening enough for amazon to 2FA deliveries. I guess this will become the norm over time

I bought a monitor during Black Friday which had dead pixels so I got on the live chat and was nice to them(norm) so was sent a replacement the next day but had to arrange my own courier to return the defective one. I chose DPD and it cost £34.34 which could be refunded at request once they receive it back, which I claimed ofc. I had a email over the weekend from them asking where the monitor is, so back to live chat where once again I was nice(norm) and it's confirmed they have it and I could ignore the email. That was all I needed to know but the agent gave me £5 credit for the hassle.

I had similar - got a new Panasonic microwave/grill/oven as old one went kaput (and the built-in oven hasn't been used for years), was absolutely useless so organised a return, which Amazon didn't do twice - so contacted support and they said keep it and they still refunded me

So, still using the (free) rubbish microwave until a better option comes along. Didn't get a £credit though

I've ordered it but a Jan 10th delivery which I'm not bothered about.

So scroll down this page to the Dayblazer 1500 front light and then look at the cheaper model to the right of it - doesn't make sense unless my old brain is getting confused.

I've been using their old 700 for years and decided on an update so hopefully they honour that price.
Amazon also take another 10% off it.
Result..!

It's maaaaad bright :D

Ordered Mario Rabbids game at ~0830 this morning, thinking it would come with bits we were expecting today from them, but delivered ~1935 by a different driver...

God Amazon sucks!

I was going to start a new thread about how have RING taken my money when my attached card is an old one?
They asked me to update my card before Dec 26th but today have taken money off me !!!
I wanted it to expire because hopefully I'm having a Reolink Doorbell when released.
So I did a bit of digging into my Accounts Settings on RING and found this.
The buggers.

Dad placed an order on Amazon to pick up at a newsagents about 7 mins walk from here. Said delivery was failed. Dad walked to the newsagents to discover that between X-Y dates, the shop will be open for 2 days a week for 5 hours.

Dad is now having to chase Amazon. Do you think the newsagents didn't bother to update their opening hours or didn't Amazon update the changes on their website?

The newsagents are also pick up points for DHL and another courier (not Evri or Yodal)

Has anyone ever had this?

On the day of delivery, we will email you a one-time password to read to the driver for delivery.

This is a new one on me.
If they are delivering to the house and house matches the account why this?

Is it for
-scenarios like house shares?
-theft by courier?
Yes when ordering smart phones.

The problem with not having Prime... (It was in stock and has remained in stock since placing the order).

Sods law says they deliver on the 28th, when I leave for a holiday.

No sold and despatched from Amazon. Next day was available for it.
Something isn't right then - that lead time variation is usually when the goods are from another Amazon site (EU for example) or coming from China.
I'd be tempted to order another and see if the same happens - you could then cancel the first as it's not been dispatched yet.

I got it at a good price so don't really want to cancel.

So yesterday I needed something important for today and it said next day delivery.
It has just updated to tomorrow :(
That normally happens to me. "Order within 1h 23m for next day delivery", but when you checkout it changes to the day after. However, I've just ordered an ID card holder and it didn't change. Guess time will tell.
