Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

"No suitable for intended use" or w/e and you get free returns.

It is a shame they stopped RM Collect from Door but that was just too dreamy to be reality.

I typically drop any returns off at a local co-op style place that also has a post office function.

I went there twice recently to attempt to do so, and both times they were open but the staff who could operate the post office thing weren't working.

Amazon livechat sorted me out a pickup which is supposed to be coming tomorrow, biggest pain is needed a printer (which is one reason I like to drop it off) but the old man had one, so all sorted in the end.

So in theory they do still offer this, but might be area dependent.

Still offer the RM pickup for me by the looks of it
I normally use pickup service, sometimes it's RM who collect and sometimes the same driver that delivers for other couriers (i.e., not RM). I've also used the option to drop off at local Tesco Express. Either way no cost involved.

I just ordered 4 x 14TB Ironwolf NAS HDs and they're being shipped from USA. Getting a bit nervous because returns, while still supposedly free, is a bit more complex I think. Still, the savings were significant compared to a UK supplier.

The last time I needed to return an international order my only return option was a UPS drop off point and when they say you only need to print 2 copies of the customs invoice they provide the guy in the shop was adamant I actually needed 3.
Other than that it was as easy as normal

You might be able to get the drive warranty done by Seagate in the EU though should there be any issues.

Interesting - I used it lots so maybe I am on a black list lol. The CO-OP Post Office was good but the queue of Doris's went out the door the last few times I wondered by.

Evri used to do pick up too but that seems to have dissapeared for me, too. So drop off at local post office with QR code is the only option.

Did you threaten to kidnap a courier or something?
Strange you've got no pick up options available.

Haha quite possibly... I've just checked and it looks RM Pickup is back, but RM drop off and Evri Pickup are gone. Must be some complicated system in the background checking what's available?

That's another point - one UK buyer reported when he tried to register his product with Seagate he only got 4yrs warranty instead of 5yrs. I'll find out I guess if that's normal for imported drives.

Q. Rejecting Amazon delivery at the door

Car part I ordered 6 weeks ago, temporarily unavailable at the time, has now shipped, I already purchased it elsewhere, without cancelling Amazon
can you reject at the door without incurring any return charges, or are they going to deduct their postage costs on refund.
I will acccept it, and ship it back cheaply, if they would charge.

You used to be able to cancel it in flight through the app, not sure if that's still an option. Failing that they generally seem to offer free return postage on a lot of items or indeed all of them if you don't mind fibbing a bit on the "Why are you returning it" menu.
