AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

Very low stock and ultra high demand. If the system can sell 1,000 cards a minute but they only have 100 or 200 cards in stock then they will oversell hundreds of cards in seconds, again. It is not worth their while opening, stocks are too low and demand is too high. It is a crazy situation in a crazy year.

But what is the difference between putting them on sale now rather than waiting until tomorrow (Wednesday) or Thursday when he said they would be.

I would have bought a 6800XT on launch day if avail, but now I've waited this long, I think I'll wait for the 6900XT.

I've noticed monitoring bots already have direct links to 6900XT and are ready to snipe ALL of the stock that shows up on AMD website, instantly. Ergo, good luck, it'll likely all be gone in a minute or less... Unless AMD changes the link beforehand.

I'm not planning on buying until the new year, so fingers crossed.

To be honest, until websites find a way of preventing bots (scalpers) from mass purchasing - I don't see this changing any time soon.

If the scalpers continue to get stock, people will be more prepared to just spend the extra money and buy it, unfortunately. The profit for some groups has been insane.

nope they all gone within 1min. seems other eu countries had more luck and the US, not seen anyone from the uk get one on any of the forums. I want a 6800xt so wondering what OCUK have in stock this week, do they have XT cards too?

Bots are a problem for sure, but in this case it's over all a very small stock, which makes it close to impossible to buy anything. Bots or not.

my m1 case arrived in the country today was pretty quick coming from overseas, so dont see the ports as the hold up!
That's great your particular shipment was unaffected, but the ports are in a meltdown, and it is effecting deliveries. Some carriers are talking about skipping Felixstowe entirely in Jan. Freight rates to europe and the UK from China have gone up 300% in some cases.

There is a very good chance that unless its airfreighted, Jan is going to be very bad for any supplies.

Very true - a group in the UK reported they were able to gain PS5 stock of approx. 3500 units. Even if they were to sell all of those at a slightly inflated price, they're still earning millions.

As stock continues to drip in and demand will always remain high since they're only being slowly produced, groups will still target and continue to make profit. It's a no brainer for them really, especially leading up to Christmas and even after that, AMD and NVIDIA are looking at a new bunch of cards for Spring. It's going to be chaos.

Scalpers can die in a fire as far as I'm concerned, and they most certainly won't be getting my money, I can tell you that much. I can and will wait for retailers to get their **** together.

I'm with you on that one, will never buy anything on Ebay over the odds, happy to wait and find it midly amusing that people have bots just to inflate prices and cause them to remove and readd the item.
