Do the scalpers use some sort of scripting which prevents others being able to complete purchases?

I always seem to get right to the complete payment and then it always times out.. no matter how I try refresh (if required).

Very likely, since nobody seems to want to implement CAPTCHA, the bots have a field day.
 
I had a 6900xt and 5900x in basket, got to checkout, did captcha and that's it, can't progress. Hit Place Order and nothing happens, then eventually the captcha expires. Others have said they get an error at that point stating they do not ship to the region (being UK), others get access denied or 503 and so on. Just another poop show to add to the year.

He's Grieg from Glasgow, likes to outdoorsy travel (Bulgaria, Italy, around Scotland) and has dabbled in stocks and shares on london south east.

That's with a 2 minutes search. People really should alter their usernames and profile pics if they're going to do scummy things
 
Had a 6800XT in my basket and gave up trying to buy it, couldn't progress past the payment details page. Really frustrating considering it was cheaper than the plain 6800 via resellers
 
Got as far as confirming payment and shipping details on a 6800XT direct from AMD GB, only to be told that address is not valid for this region. I mean seriously AMD, can you **** up any more than you already are.

Now the AMD site is totally down. Utter shambles of a company and their last few releases have been laughably inept form a so called global player. The ******* sweet shop on the corner is run more efficiently.
 
I would seriously give up if you are trying on the AMD site.. its been over an hour since launch, site just cannot keep up i expect.
 
cant get onto AMD site at all, just says Access Denied. is it some sort of ip block?

I wonder how much of my details from trying to pay for a card thay have of mine now?

Atm it seems completely random, when adding the 6800XT to your cart, if it says "out of stock" or actually lets you put it in the cart.

Not that it matters, as nobody has been able to complete the payment details steps :D :D
 
Yeah, 6800 and 6800XT both showed in stock, tried to order one or other at random. Now showing none in stock or in stock at random
 
If anything the experience is getting worse every drop :p

Impressive, AMD. Can't even tell if something is available to buy or not, these days :p
