AMD Bulldozer Finally!

The thing is you have come into a thread saying this discussing a CPU that isnt even released yet, and that nobody has really seen an accurate reflection of performance. Fair enough to say what you said in a thread that was about what should I buy now this instance, but it isnt. Its about an unreleased CPU So you nor I have no real clue, what were going on about.
If your so anti AMD maybe its wise to avoid threads that are discussing future products, and stick to commenting on current line ups, then I dont think I would have much of a disagreement with you.

As I've said, I'm happy to eat my words when I'm proven wrong. And I'm not anti-AMD. I'm anti-people putting "faith" in companies when they could be getting better for cheaper....and NOW. Remember Bulldozer was supposed to be released in 2009.

Since when can you not do that on intel boards? ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte all have great on the fly clocking utilities. Honestly, when's the last time you've played with an Intel setup? It costs the same or less, is faster by loads, and is much easier to clock IMO in pretty every respect.

And why do I give people crap who have bought AMD? Because they could have more for their money...simple as that.

You can inform people but its ultimately there own choice & repeating badgering serves no use.

Also the too many of the low & mid end SB mobos have single 16x PCIE or drop down to dual 8x, i also only use unlocked multi CPUs so AMD offers me the cheaper option.

And I'll say it once more, this thread isnt about what we can buy now this instance, this isnt a spec me thread, its a thread about as yet an unreleased product.
If I buy now and in 2 months (which is my personal deadline) and can get better for cheaper from AMD (as an example) will you be prepared to refund me the price of the full setup I bought earlier than I needed to?

@gurusan this is my point , when people say they are happy with what they bought or want to buy , and then people like you make them feel bad by saying "you should have gone with intel, they faster, ect", i know u trying to help but if the person is happy with what they bought or want to buy , i don't see a problem.

i for one not bothered that intel is faster or slightly faster... im happy with what i choose/have, same goes for other people

ok, well trying to get back on topic and away from what people should or shouldnt do with their cash. what do we know about a possible lineup of BD chips, will there be a nice selection of budget, gaming, video encoding chips or do we really no nothing at the moment?

I mean for Bulldozer & having a upgrade path is a huge plus for me compared to Intel's short lived sockets..

Your heart is set on Intel so no point in continuing to reason with you.

AM3+ will be shortlived as hell as AMD are going LGA.
And AMD don't even offer official support for AM3 on Bulldozer.. That's a lot worse than Intels currently faster options, and 1155 has support for Ivy!

quad,hex,octo, higher octo.
Then a refresh.
But the refresh was meant to be Q3 but BD got delayed till Q3.. So it's anyones guess.

Whether any of the H61,H67,P67 or Z68 motherboards will actually work with Ivy Bridge is another question. With socket 775 the same thing happened even though the socket was the same.

I hope Ivy Bridge does work as it means I have an upgrade path with my Gigabyte GA-H67N-USB3-B3.

I hope it'll work too on P67 boards.
But still, the AMD maintaining socket life longer is a stupidly crap reason.

It's too hard to explain. The best socket they released IMO was AM2+, which can support every current AMD CPU. (Minus Llano)

AM3 was pointless given Phenom II's have DDR2 memory controllers, and AMD abolished official Bulldozer support on it.

No, we know Ivy works with Z68, AFAIK not for P67/H67 though

I'll be peeved too but that's all I've seen so far...especially as I have a p67 board. If I can run ivy bridge I'll be stoked.

Maximus IV Extreme here.
so no proof?

so again no point saying AM3+ will be shortlived, till proof

AMD were toying with LGA in 2005.
