I fear you may be right. I bought an FX53 years ago when AMD were outperforming intel and it was by no means competitively priced, they knew it was good and they were reaming performance orientated users for it.

Ain't that the truth! I might do a hardware run to the states one day, cheap return flight and pick up loads of gear, would work out cheaper xD

You could be right .. but then again so were the Sandy Bridges pretty cheap when they arrived. At least 2500K was nicely £ compared to its power.
So nothings certain at this point

is there a new date going around yet?

I saw the 4-5 weeks time span is that the sort of date we are expecting?

there is a London computing event net month, they wouldn't release it in a UK based event would they?

I realise it is a waste of time guessing.
 
Just got told at work they are expecting an October 15th release date but to be honest they get most things wrong so I would hold no stock in this statement what so ever. Its a Saturday to which seems a bit strange for a release day. (Currys/PC World)
 
I've just had a gas bill of £250 and an electric bill of £280 my bulldozer fund has been wiped out :mad:

Looks like its going to be after Xmas now for me unless I come into some random loot.
