AMD Bulldozer Finally!

yeah that i understand and is right

but that isn't the main question in hand ..

If its any help Gareth, your spending a lot of your hard earned cash and time for brand new product. If your NOT HAPPY with its performance for the TASKS YOU DO. Then you can return it under DSR. Forget what anyone else says or thinks.

I have done it with a Telly, and a mobile phone and contract. Its your money not theirs.

As long as you take good care of the product, and return it as you got it then all is good.

As for the seals, how can you inspect an item and view it (as the DSR covers you for).

Here's a shocker!

Refunds (Regulation 14)

When do I have to refund a consumer’s money if they cancel
an order?

3.46 As soon as possible after the consumer cancels, and in any case
within 30 days at the latest. You must refund the consumer’s money
even if you have not yet collected the goods or had them returned to
you by the consumer. You cannot insist on the goods being received
by you before you make a refund. See also paragraph 3.64.

OCUKs actual product description doesn't say to go look at the lacklustre performance before buying it, infact its saying this at the end...
"You'll get all this impressive performance at an unbelievable price. You'll be asking yourself "what competition?" in no time."
Lol if there was ever an excuse for DSR that above statement would be.

LOL.

That statement on its own is screaming: "return me if you are not impressed by the performance".

Come on Gareth, open the CPU when you get it and post your results. There are a lot of people on here who are waiting for somebody to post their results up and not some professional reviewer who has probably been paid money to paint a rosy picture.

i would like two systems

why im i explaining my needs

...because there are some people in here who think that by you returning your CPU, OCUK might go bust and quite possibly the World as we may know it, may come to an end. :p

It's only 1 CPU for Christ's sake and he hasn't even returned the CPU. He has stated that he will check the CPU performance first, before making his decision.

I'm bemused that this thread is no longer about the release/availability of a CPU, but about the ethics of returning a CPU. It's quite funny when you think about it.

The amount of companies that disregard that is unreal.

im sure ocuk would in store..

Doubt it.

because NOBODY AS THE SOFTWARE I USE such as software that control my house like doors, lights, ect which uses a lot of cpu power.. remember im disabled, i use some special software...... understand

You said encoding.

I also somehow doubt you need an 8150 to run home automation software, nevermind there be an observable difference between an 8150, 2600k, 2500k, 1090, Q6600 or any other CPU since a decade ago.

For the record - Plenty of people run home automation.

i mean open/close doors, turn on/off lights, control the tvs/dvd player/bluray player/hifi, ect

if u don't own one u can't really comment....

That is home automation.

I am also at a loss how it has a huge CPU overhead either. Badly coded if it does. People control home automation from their mobile phones.

what the hell...? how has the Bulldozer thread, a war-zone between human beings and Intel fanboys ended up in an argument about Home Automation?! would be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt with this one, he says it uses a lot of his CPU power, so take it on faith that it does?! come on guys...

i just don't understand why i explain my needs and then made to feel out im lieing..

i asked ONE simple question.. didn't ask if you guys think it's right or wrong to do.

but hey Sin_Chase u won, i will send it back unopened, don't worry ocuk won't go bust..

I won?

Oh cry less, seriously. Grow up. I could not give a toss whether you get an 8150 or not but do have gripes with people using bull reasoning. Assuming you could test what you wanted in-store giving you the same justification to DSR as another item is total and utter bull and you know it.

It's not even about DSR. It's the whole reason you need to use it at all - Apparently none of the data available online is of any use and you somehow believe you need an 8 Cored Bulldozer processor to run some magical software that runs so differently to what has been benchmarked already you can not glean one iota of information from it.

It's not like you are buying a radiator for a WC loop and are unsure if it will fit your case or not from what you can see listed about the item online. The CPU will work - End of.

u need to grow up tbh

since i asked a simple question about sending it back under DSR if im not happy with it, you and afew others have been getting at me.

If that was the case you should have posted it in Customer Support behind closed doors and not bleated on about why you wanted to still get it, then DSR it. Post such info in public, prepare to be 'got at'.

Basically it boils down to this.

You committed to buying it no matter what since day 1.
It launched and was terrible.
To save face you still intend to get one, but want a way out - DSR.

Sin_Chase your so wrong you don't know anything about me or my needs. i made it clear i would ONLY send it back if it didn't do what i want well in my OWN software

i gave just 2 EXAMPLES

just because u don't like people using dsr in this way doesn't give u the right to have a go at me, ocuk have said its ok.. if u don't like it don't reply..

but as i said i will send it back unopened,

sorry to the people who wanted to see the results but i don't need this crap from some people
