AMD Bulldozer Finally!

So he DOES like to play games ;) muhahahaha -

sorry JF - been dying to get that in there, since you said you don't play games lol :)

After reading that I starting to doubt it be out in July let aloan June :( Q3 is looking more likely, been iching to upgrade for a while. I have new WC gear, a 700D case and some cheap DDR3 not doing much waiting to see what will be better upgrade for me Sandy or Bulldozer

July is Q3. :p

"Our public roadmap has not changed."

But which one is there official public roadmap, the one listing Q2 2011 or the one that just states 2011, anyone know which one they're going on about here?

Thing is though AMD never actualy officaly anounced a relase date, only thing we have now are rumours based off of leaked slides that my or may not be real.

They might still be planning to show it off next month but they never said it would be released then.

Any news about the sandy bridge - e? It would get really exciting if they go head to head against each other. Love the competition!

i'm no expert but if this year's top bulldozer cpu is supposed to go head to head with the i7 2600k then i doubt it will stand a chance against the sandybridge-E 6 core cpu or the ivybridge these might get challenged by the next bulldozer cpu's coming out next year.

if AMD releases their bulldozer close to the sandybridge-E release then i think it will be performance (intel) vs price (AMD) again.

I think given peoples anticipation and excitement, AMD should atleast give some official hint about bulldozer. May be it is good or may be it is not.Who knows apart from AMD but atleast they should provide some solid info.

This is where I like Intel as people can have some idea on what to expect with their latest processors.

Anandtech provided some benchmarks before SB was even released.;)

Live up to what hype?

The only hype I see is relying on rumour and hearsay.

So far it has nothing to live up to.

exactly so far its been all hype.

tbh i'm leaning towards intel cpu's because i'm guaranteed top performance but not keen on current 4 core cpus when next gen cpu's going to be 6,8&10 cores & once i upgrade i dont want to upgrade again for 2-3 years (hopefully more),anyway will wait & see if amd's bulldozer is coming out next month & wether its worth it or not,if not then its 6 cores sandybridge-E or the 6,8 or 10 cores ivy for sure.

Well I've got fed up of waiting and will be ordering up some SB bits and bobs next week.

As it's not just waiting for BD to be released, it's then waiting around a couple of months to see if anything "nasty" creeps out of the woodwork (dodgy SATA ports anyone?) and for the inevitable BIOS updates / releases.

Though I shall still be interested to see how BD pans out.

Good luck to AMD I say.

As much as I would love to see what AMD can pull out of the bag with this one I'm giving them untill June's payday before I go down the Sandybridge route. I just get the feeling now that it's going to get pushed back further and further.

Same here, only reason i havent bought a sandybridge yet is to see how this bulldozer compares but if it goes on and on even longer i'll just go for the sb
