**AMD Fiji Thread**

This fury X is tempting me to go x3 X-Fire...

Dammit, I wanted to wait till next year to see how Pascal compares but they look so nice, really like the new designs of the fury range - will be going water CPU also so will need a huge case.... :D:D

I had a 750D previously, loved it. See pic below. :D #Sexy

That said, I'm not sure your suggested setup would work Shanks, but it might work if you moved one to the rear and one to the top. :)

Very nice indeed.

But I do think it would be possible to have first gpu back of the case, second and third in the front and then forth at the bottom.. See my image with better cable management at the bottom am sure it would fit.

All you wimps with pre-made cases :p

@Matt, May I ask what *nix support will be like for the fury on release, Also have the driver team carried on their perf boost they pulled off in the 15.5's ?

As with everything in life, sometimes one is not enough.

This is why im tempted to go for the x2 first, so i can add a 2nd later for Quadfire and not swamp my case with AIO coolers :)

Yeah i have a Phantek Enthoo Primo and it has tons of space for AIO's but i dont want to clutter it all.

Incidentally Matt, those x2 you was running in the 750D, im guessing intake on those right?

Im guessing the FuryX hoses are as long given the card is shorter?

Kin hell Matt,4 x fury x?! Im still trying to work off a Titan x in back rubs and general niceness :D

Ha, sorry Greg i missed your post but it gave me a good chuckle. It sure is crazy what we spend on this hobby of ours. :D

Yep they were intake Si. :)

Well according to this the Fury air cooled version won't be as powerful as the Fury X water cooled version.

http://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-fury-x-specs-fiji/

So Fury X it is for me!

:D

Shame there won't be an air cooled Fury X as I want to put my Thermosphere waterblocks to work.

Seems pointless to buy a Fury X only to take the watercooling off and put watercooling back on - esp as it looks like it wont be possible due to the vrm heatsinks being integrated into the cooler on the fury x rather than a seperate heatsinks on the plain fury like other air cooled cards.

Still, if the plain fury gets withing 5% of the fury x then I still might plump for a couple of plain furies :-)

So Matt, now the news is out, what does it feel like from a Rep point of view? obviously were still waiting the FuryX reviews and full release etc.

How long have you known how good the FuryX was? ;) and can you give any clue or hint towards the future of the Fiji and HBM, will we likely see an 8GB version? :) or will that be HBM2 stuff?

Also about HBM and AMD cpu's, could they bolt HBM to a Zen CPU to increase its performance do you think? no doubt an APU with HBM would probably be a monster.

Are we far away from HBM2? :)

Dunno. Guess it depends on the TV in question.
People usually say the same thing about gaming on 1080p tv's, but it isn't always the case.

yes it depends on the tv............Sony and Sammy have good response rates, from 0.26 to about 0.5, processing power is no problem at all because it's basically the GPU that does that.

the quality of your image will of course be much worst on an LED than on an OLED.......an OLED looks miles better simply because it has pure blacks and this vastly improves contrast/ colour and 3D realism.....
