**AMD Fiji Thread**

Every story I see about the lack of HDMI 2.0 seems to link back to the comment AMDMatt made on this forum, and last I heard he was going to clarify. It's got to be a fairly simple "yes/no". They should get a confirmation out soon so that us angry raging types can just throw our money at nVidia and everyone can move on with their lives.

Didnt his post completely clarify it?

A resounding NO its NOT HDMI 2.0

Just to confirm.

The AMD Radeon™ Fury X is an enthusiast graphics card designed to provide multi-display 4K gaming at 60Hz.

In addition, Active DisplayPort 1.2a-to-HDMI 2.0 adapters are set to debut this summer. These adapters will enable any graphics cards with DP1.2a outputs to deliver 4K@60Hz gaming on UHD televisions that support HDMI 2.0.

Oh, that doesn't spell good news. NVIDIA have done this in the past to certain bloggers and individuals but not at an initial launch. They did with TITAN-Z however, and we can probably all guess why that was.

Posted a thread about this around a week ago. Was surprised how easily it was dismissed since some sites/individuals have made clear they have been told and received nothing from AMD in regards to their new cards. Nvidia usually send these guys their cards weeks in advance.

Any idea on the pricing for these?
I remember the Active Mini-DisplayPort to DL-DVI being about £75 each.
That would up a £550 card to £625 for those that need HDMI 2.0, if the prices were similar.

At least there could soon a be a solution to the problem though, which is good. Well done AMD.

I cant see any reason why these couldnt have been released as beta for the 200 series now.

Modifying the inf.

Can someone explain how to do this or point me to the right place to find out please.

Thanks.

It was a resounding no, but followed by a "I should check that", and no updates since. That's his latest official line on the AMD forums too, but I am missing the link to share right now.

Thankyou.

EDIT, These you linked are 15.15 Asder, I have 15.20 Asder installed so I'm presuming they've also had the ini tweak done, Is that right?

I presumed they hadn't but from seeing this and seeing the ones that I already have are also marked as being from Asder I'm presuming he did the same ini tweak for these,

Ahh 15.15 are 11th june compared to 8th June for 15.20 so I'll try them.
