**AMD Fiji Thread**

It doesn't make any sense. At 175w it makes 7.3-7.8 TFlops, but at 275w, it only makes 8.6 Tflops....

Clearly the wattage isn't directly proportional to the teraflops.

Monitor the power consumption of a computer, both at stock and overclocked. There's ever diminishing returns on the power consumed for performance gains.

They reckon inbetween 980 and Ti, would be impressive that.

Better than 980Ti performance and only 175w on 28nm process and out in a few months?

Pigs might fly.

LoadsaMoney was saying performance in-between the 980 and 980 Ti, not better than than the 980 Ti.

Now we know the 390X beats the 980 in a fair few benchys. It's highly likely that the Nano will be in-between the 980 and 980 Ti like LoadsaMoney said.

We are talking 100 watts here. That is a 57% increase in power for a 13% increase in performance

The Fury would be a pointless if those Nano figures are correct

With an AMD FX CPU, for example, you could be looking at using 70% more power for 20% performance increase (4Ghz - 4.8Ghz).

Not troll comment,Just my thoughts on why I am buying AMD Fury X.
I sold my Titan X cards and I am buying AMD Fury X cards.

For me 4GB no HDMI 2.0 has no bearing on my purchase of the AMD Fury X cards.

Also for me I prefer AMD cards and drivers over Nvidia cards and drivers. No matter how many times Nvidia fans try to derail threads or convince people Nvidia has better stuff,my opinion on AMD will stand.I know the truth I have ran many combinations of SLI/Crossfire .

Anyway,I am very excited to get some AMD Fury X AIO cooling for the price of 980Ti reference for the same performance. It is not even close in my opinion AMD has the better choice for me.

I find it insane that people would pay an extra £100 just to own something on release day.

I am looking forward to these cards but not sure I could justifying paying way above RRP just to be early.

You don't have to either, even on release day. Depends on where you buy and who has stock.

Damn shame we can't buy direct from NVIDIA, or even Saphire for AMD like in the states. You pay the exact RRP then.
