**AMD Fiji Thread**

I find it insane that people would pay an extra £100 just to own something on release day.

I am looking forward to these cards but not sure I could justifying paying way above RRP just to be early.

its called `epeen` they pay a price premium to have the latest and best the second it hits the shops ;)

I am stuck with a GTX 470 so I would like one soon, but 500+ seems a bit high considering the official price in dollars, also I use waterblocks so I would have to find somewhere to put the tiny radiator thing, it would probably end up being sellotaped to the card or floating inm the middle of the case sellotaped to a water pipe

Hopefully it is only a 2 week wait max for people who want to pre-order at normal price then, do we need to wait for initial stock to sell before we can do that? Or will there be 2 different order pages?

There have always been 'idiots' around, like village idiots for example, nowadays it's tech idiots who throw their money away so they can show off.

dollar price + 20% vat ; remember each US state changes a different rate of tax , usually when you pay for it.

I would say if you have waited this long waiting a few weeks for reviews and reasonably priced stock to filter through is worth the wait, and TBH any of the high end cards from AMD or Nvidia(Fury or the GTX980TI) will be a massive upgrade from a GTX470.

not on Day 0 with constrained stock , price will vary throughout the day and go up as stock levels fall.

Depends on where you go and who has stock. I ordered both my 980 Ti Superclocked EVGA cards at £549 which is the UK RRP( for the stock reference card ) from OcUK's parent company on launch day.

For some people £100 isn't a big deal - some people are just impatient to get their hands on stuff.

WoW, harsh. Or you know, maybe you value £100 more than some people.

I will likely be be buying a Fury on release (as long as it's not too much of a hike) for no reason other than I want a really good video card ASAP. There will be no showing off, I won;t be joining any owners thread, though I may post benchmarks to help others make decisions on the hardware.

I find it amazing that Kaap will likely buy four, but I bear him no ill will. Good luck to him and as he has pointed out more than once, he has few other financial distractions.

People need to blame the retailers for price gouging but sadly they will if people pay the inflated RRPs since they are businesses too and if they can get extra profit they will!

I don't get why people feel the need to stomp on what people buy and call them idiots. Good luck to the guys who get one on day one and enjoy. Humbug to the haters.

Poor ole humbug, he will be very busy if the stock shortages are as bad as people are suggesting...:D:p:D
