Simply look at what performance your budget gets you today compared to the last time you bought and make your buying decision. Then look at the name and whether it’s called the FerretMAXXX 30000 or the Navi 21 should make no difference at all.
Whatever, if you miss the point and can't see what's happening then I won't waste more energy.

Sigh, the 2080 Ti was a card out on its own.

What does this mean? Looking at the performance uplift from previous generations, the 2080Ti's performance should have been ~$700. It was waaayyy overpriced from day one.

For the past 5 years, Nvidia have been cheaper than AMD, and for those past 5 years, they've been getting absolutely slagged to death for their pricing, its a ******* joke!.

Nvida has indeed competed on price and performance, but only when they had direct competition from AMD.

When AMD didn't have anything to compete Nvidia effectively scalped their own cards at grossly inflated prices.

I can see it now, when Big Navi revealed, and if they come £50 under Nvidia, it'll be, **** you Jen, if it wasn't for you, and your high pricing, these wouldn't be anywhere near £600, be only about £200 or something, yer ******* **** sucker, Green *****! blah blah blah...............

do many gamers really care about RT at the mo?, maybe further down the line when there is more take up, but for me, im not bothered with RT myself

I had a look at a couple of games with RT on to see what the fuss was about; talk about underwhelming. I don't ever enable it as I prefer the higher frames.

If I was looking for a GPU right now then RT performance would be the last thing to consider; it's a total marketing gimmick.

ok lol must be just me then that thinks £800 for a 2080 Super is insanely expensive compared to £400 for a 5700xt then. if you're happy then I'm happy lol

Shame there is no chance of you getting two 6900XTX X Edition and Xfire' them. I used to enjoy your posts back then. Would constantly **** of their crossfire drivers then buy AMD again the next gen and go crossfire again no less :p:D

I used to think you would never go green.

I'd love to see xfire come back... lol... shame it won't

And then hopefully some of the speculation will be over. Let's hope reviews are soon after too.
yeah be nice to see a suite of benchmarks like they ddi with the CPU 5000 series... just show us ultimatly some 1080/1440/4k side by sides... all depends whether they want side by sides with team green OR compare to their current flagship 5700xt... either way we'd get the results we'd want to see. What I don't like though is comparing against the direct compeititno, something about it just smells for me, I prefer a little more professionalism and show what it can do against what was the last gen... then let the reviewers do the compares or us lot... just think it's slimey really.

You could argue if they're showing performance against themselves then it comes across they know they're 2nd best. Ultimately you want to sell your product and convince customers to choose your brand over the competition, so comparing against that competition will clearly show the reasons why. The reviewers can then sort out the actual truth.

Illustrating competition is fine, mudslinging (Intel) or outright lies (Nvidia) is where it gets sleazy.
