I can see it now, when Big Navi revealed, and if they come £50 under Nvidia, it'll be, **** you Jen, if it wasn't for you, and your high pricing, these wouldn't be anywhere near £600, be only about £200 or something, yer ******* **** sucker, Green *****! blah blah blah...............
A £599 AMD card with that level performance will be well received, I'd have thought. I suppose we'll find out soon enough!

You could argue if they're showing performance against themselves then it comes across they know they're 2nd best. Ultimately you want to sell your product and convince customers to choose your brand over the competition, so comparing against that competition will clearly show the reasons why. The reviewers can then sort out the actual truth.

Illustrating competition is fine, mudslinging (Intel) or outright lies (Nvidia) is where it gets sleazy.

I agree with pugheaven on this one. You don't see BMW referencing the performance of Mercedes cars in their promotional material.

2070 Super was about £450, 3060 is going to be around similar performance at similar price, once again around where most pepole can afford GPU's we are onlt getting a small price to erformance up lift.
Hang on, the 2070S release price was $499, the 3070 is $499 so the 3060 is going to be substantially cheaper. Also, factor in the rumoured 3060Ti in the stack......

I don't remember when they last said it, I am sure it was recently enough to try and factor in the ongoing global conditions though.
Sure, but it's more that the exact week of shipping can easily slip if some months have since passed (so we might not be able to count on RDNA2 shipping for DIY users before the consoles land).

Ampere pricing is better than Turing but Turing was way overpriced, the only it reason isn't quite so overriced is because Nvidia know AMD are about to get cometitive again.

Ampere is still overriced tho, even with inflation ##70 class cards should be no more than <£400.

Going on the rumors, etc looks like the 3070 will also be in limited Supply item two.

Yeah fair comment mate, I just remember watching that INTEL one a few months ago when they released their laptop was it and they mentioned AMD god knows how many times, and it looks desperate somestimes. It's all about professionalism and how you do it like you say, if it comes across as childish I hate it, if it's literally LIKE AMD did in th 5000 series where it was their competitior, didn't mention INTEL by name only as closest competitior then it works. We shall see... laugh my head off if Lisa Su comes on with her hands in a loser signal singing "green team going down, down down down"... lmfao

I'd like to see her pee on a 3090 on stage. That card could use a bit of liquid cooling with its 450W+ power draw. Might need to bring leather jacket man on stage as well so he can blow on the card while she pees over it.

Yes, no doubt, but thats not the point, it should be nowhere near £599, you should be able to pick em up for about £199, or even £99, its only going to be £599, because of that **** sucking **** Jen, pricing his at £649, so lets all give a big thanks to them Green *****!.

Shame there is no chance of you getting two 6900XTX X Edition and Xfire' them. I used to enjoy your posts back then. Would constantly **** of their crossfire drivers then buy AMD again the next gen and go crossfire again no less :p:D

I used to think you would never go green.

He lost all his money on ***** gpu's with limited crossfire support.:D:D:D

Yeah, this is the trick. AMD's Ryzen 5000 event showed pretty bar charts and numbers and they talked about how they've improved themselves against their previous gen, and it was almost a side note that their improvements pushed them ahead of the competition. And if you recall they used that exact term, not Intel's name. It's only if you then look really closely that you see under the charts in small text actual model names. Intel on the other hand, as you rightly say, was "AMD this" and "AMD that" and did more advertising for their competitor than AMD themselves. It's all about professionalism as you say, and AMD did it right.

I'm expecting similar in the Big Navi reveal. Show their own numbers, show their performance uplift against RDNA 1 and the side-by-side charts will only reference the "competition" in that specific phrase.

It's a shame AMD are using the studio format for Big Navi, if Big Navi really does get in Ampere's face, I'd love to see Dr. Su in her own kitchen with even more spatulas than Uncle Jensen. Maybe even open up replacing her spatula collection by throwing the green ones out and replacing with bigger red ones.

but yeah, AMD under her leadership are far too professional to take digs and potshots. Herkleman should've been slapped last year if the "jebaiting" things was legit.[/QUOTE]
