Whatever, if you miss the point and can't see what's happening then I won't waste more energy.

I don't think it's me missing the point fella.

But no worries you make your buying decisions based on what name they give a card, I'll carry on looking at the price, performance and power consumption instead.

I'd like to see her pee on a 3090 on stage. That card could use a bit of liquid cooling with its 450W+ power draw. Might need to bring leather jacket man on stage as well so he can blow on the card while she pees over it.
Well you do have some interesting fantasies, I think maybe you wandered into the wrong kind of forum for this one though lol

The 2080Ti, and now the 3090, were priced for this mindset. Knock yourself out.

No, Nvidia's policies regarding pricing are different. I actually can't afford so expensive graphics card with driver interface from the 90s, bad feature set - like no maximum image quality in line or better than AMD's Radeon. So that I don't touch Nvidia's products.

Waiting for AMD to save us all.

Some people here are way too personally invested in AMD’s ‘success’. It’s quite sad really. It’s just a company, just like apple, samsung, nvidia, microsoft, sony etc...

And you’re like ‘yes yes please beep on me i promise ill like it and even pay you !’

what the ever living quack. I mean wtf is this i dont even ...

In case you haven't noticed this is an AMD related thread so obviously most of the posters here will have some interest in AMD. Funny how you seem to think people are 'invested' in AMD yet fail to take into account that there are probably 10x more posters who favour Nvidia in the graphics forum. There are literally 5 AMD threads on the first page of the graphics forum and around 25 threads about Nvidia gpu's.

I have been reading this forum for over 15 years and have mainly seen Nvidia fans trolling every AMD bit of positive AMD news with the usual 'drivers are bad' or 'it sucks power' comments. If you don't like what's in this thread then I suggest avoiding it since it's for speculating on AMD's next gpu lineup.
It's pretty annoying to see people try to downplay every bit of potentially positive AMD speculation when we already know it's a speculation/rumour thread.

Nail -> Head. Bravo

Fair bit of the time I visit this thread only to find sour grapes about nVidia, from pro-AMD parties, and not in response to someone else bringing nVidia into the equation. Maybe the lesson needs to go both ways :p

Lol 4k are you planning to buy the 6900xt for $1449. That'd sure be generous of them :D

It's an AMD thread so you will see AMD fans posting their reasons for not liking the opposition. However, if they go into an Nvidia thread to troll then it's a different story.

Lol @Rroff got a brass neck :p half time people are either slicing in nvidias tech (DLSS, RT) or polishing their ego's with like you say how bad AMD were at something. I hardly call that sour grapes its just negativity.

well said

His lack of self-awareness in his replies are fascinating.

Whatever if this is supposed to be a thread speculating about new AMD products then sour grapes and/or negativity (and there is a fair bit of both) about nVidia doesn't really set the right tone for the thread and would be best left to elsewhere if people are going to get their knickers in a twist about it being an AMD thread.

The same posters will then get a hump about people bringing nVidia into the thread and saying it is about AMD's new product a few posts later when someone disagrees with them, etc...................

Not as long as you but yeah..... right now by rights that Ampere thread should be packed with peole trolling it with memes about power and heat, i havent been in that thread for weeks, we have known for weeks what Ampere is but i'm willing to bet very little of that is going on in there, this thread has regular nay sayers constantly banging on about AMD's past failings and how Nvidia are better.

It used to be like that in the CPU room too, but apart from one or two determind mad lads its all stoped now.

Its not hard to grasp. If you jib over to post on here troll stuff about nvidia the guy has a perfect point. For one I agree, whats the point your only trying to get a reaction from people and using your words "would be best left to elsewhere".

Completely agree, in fact I think that was worse than here but this is the new anti thread to hate the other team, rather strange considering most people now have a Ryzen cpu and still digging the GPU's.

From what we have heard the cpu engineers are now helping the GPU side so can only be a good thing looking at this gen improvement over navi10.

But the same goes both ways - if people want to keep this focussed on AMD products then they are best leaving the nVidia gripes at the door - especially when half of it is made up nonsense or distortions of the truth to sling mud at nVidia even when there is plenty of factual negative points that can be made but again best left to other threads like the nVidia threads if people are going to get precious about the contents of this thread.

Personally I never bring nVidia into this thread except in response to other posters or when it is relevant to a point such as a discussion of upscaling features, etc.

I feel you need to look at the trail of posts referred by fs123.. the so called troll is just wanting prices to remain low (well that's my interpretation) while the non-troll didn't add anything meaningful to this thread.. it's so pointless :D

I was looking at it more generally as a number of times this point has come up.

You answered my point for me. Its other people mentioning nvidia which you reply to (and others) so therein is the crux. I dont mind discussion but often enough its just irrelevant factoids based on some form of distortion portraying nvidia to be 'better' when thats a personal opinion on how much better that really is.

As I said then set the tone (not aimed specifically at you) - it goes both ways.

I would like AMD to fix its graphics division and make the things work right.

I like Radeon Image Sharpening and Radeon Boost but it would also be quite nice if they return Switchable graphics settings to the new driver UI, when you can assign a given GPU to a given app..

They also need to fix their product positioning to be continuous just like the Nvidia's GTX 470 - GTX 570 - GTX 670 - GTX 770 - GTX 970 - GTX 1070 - RTX 2070 - RTX 3070 has been so far.
AMD has no such history of models.

I admire your patience :)
Btw what do you think of RX6900 xt's leaked FSU score.. where can we expect it to hit in Time spy?

There is no leaked score.
