AMD Navi 23 ‘NVIDIA Killer’ GPU Rumored to Support Hardware Ray Tracing, Coming Next Year

PMSL. Thats why unless its a unicorn game or your lucky to have a powerful GPU its not worth it. OK if your using freecam on games panning around its probably good, but actually playing a game and running about its a different story, hence why not much enthusiasm from a few of us as its not open to the masses quite yet.

It seems most games with RT run at 30fps on next gen consoles.
New Spider-Man on PS5 runs at 30fps and doesn’t look that much better than the one from 2018 on PS4 except they added RT.

We have only seen 1-2 stills from it unless I have missed footage, we will see how it actually is when it's released.

I own spiderman on the ps4 and ps5 miles morales looks way better in action.

I appreciate we have hardened pc enthusiasts here but lets not lose track of the fact that a ps5 digital edition is half the price of a pc gpu that youd struggle to find in stock.

I just don't understand the way people go on. People are like "herp derp my 2080ti is even still more powerful than a ps5" "harrrr my 3080 makes a series x look like a ps2".

Of course a £700 gpu paired with a £300 cpu and £600 worth of other components will outperform a £400 console. Id be astonished if it didnt.

As a console gamer for the last few years i really do enjoy being able to just pick up and play. No driver updates to worry about, software going wonky, cheaters, an empty wallet.. etc etc. Its just nice. What I'm looking forward to most are the vastly improved load times to be honest! I'm not saying PC's aren't worth it because they do offer the best possible graphical experience. At a price... I just find the console life a far smoother experience. I do miss keyboard and mouse though. lol

Have both and have had all consoles and PC for over 20 years. Best gaming experiences for me are on playstation. Cant wait for the 19th Nov but will have a big navi as well.

I was going to fall into this a couple of months ago in case the GPU's were overpriced or small jump from previous gen. It still could go that way if the RDNA2 stock ends up being like nvidias.

half price for half performance seems good. sony should let us sli our ps5's

Good call. Had my preorder confirmed last month. Only console I won't get this time is Xbox due to gamepass being in pc which means more money to upgrade. Will end up with 3 copies of the next battlefield though. 2 on pc (son and I) and one on ps5.

Wonder if Wednesday Nvidia suddenly releases a ton of 3080's around the globe. Total coincide of course.

Them's the rumours. Or the other is they're holding back stock/components to see how Navi performs in readyness for a refresh next year. Either could be true or neither.
