All the talk about pricing is all good but does it matter if nobody can ever buy the cards at prices set by a company anyway. :p

Based on the rumours and assuming the card previewed at the CPU event was the mid-tier card:

6800 - 3070/2080 Ti performance: $450
6800 XT - within 10% of 3080: $550
6800 XTX - 3080+10%: $700

All based on raster performance. Although honestly I have no clue, it will be interesting to see what weighting they've given RT performance when considering their price points.

**** that annoys me, the game has gone gold, release it on time FFS. Clearly every version will have a massive day 1 patch.

On the plus side i should be able to get a 6900xt and water block by then

Tomorrow's predictions

6800 - 64cus 12gb ram. 2080ti + 15%. 499
6800xt - 72cus 16gb ram. 3080 per. 599
6900xt - 80 cus 16gb ram. 3080 +15%. 749

If the 6900XT is 10% faster than 3080 that is basically a 3090 level of perf so I think they'll charge accordingly, prob no less than $1000, as this thing is meant to be super limited anyway in terms of stock.

The rumor mill suggest the top card is the 6800 that competes with the 3080, I hold put hope AMD know the Ti's are coming and have a secret 6900 or something to launch tomorrow as well, as it has been hinted they have an AMD exclusive top card. We shall know in a few hours time.

I think you will too only because what your asking exists but triple what you want to spend maybe more. Saying that it doesnt take long in the TV technology to filter down to reasonable prices so maybe we will be lucky to get most of them features sub £700 in a year?

I won't hold my breath but there did seem to be convergence between TV's and monitors coming. Now the consoles are high refresh 4K will probably help drive it as it seems quite a few users run them on monitors.

To illustrate how slow it's been, I bought two 27" 1440p monitors in 2011 and only now are higher refresh versions coming out at the same kind of price (£400) and becoming popular. I'm expecting to be using my 32" 144Hz 1440p monitor for another 3 or 4 years. Hopefully you're right and I'm wrong :)
