Well actually if you look at it £500 is slap bang in the middle of the ballpark figures he gave and then on top of him saying it would be similar to a 780 I think it's all but guaranteed to be around that figure.

Put it this way I'd rather be realistic and expect a £500 price tag than think it's going to come in at £400 and be disappointed.

I was tempted years back but thought nah my old quad core will do and it has although its showing its age now Its impressive when 2 year old plus hardware can still run so damn well.

According to Fudz, 7950 prices in the US have fallen to $179 (~£145).

If that was the price over here, I'd snap one up now Shame we don't get those rebate thingies.

That is £160-£170, exactly the same price as OcUK.

P.S. They have a $25 rebate, no doubt an incentive from AMD in the US, unfortunately not something operated here in the UK/Europe.

I will be disappointing in AMD BIG STYLE.
First they sell crap cpus after phenoms.
Then they try to sell 5ghz for like 700 pounds.
Now they re-brand 2 year old cards and try to sell them as new product.
And now high asking price for new GPUS ??

Rather buy another 7950 put on water and run it at same clocks as my first one. Wipe the floor with their new gpu in performance. Even tho i hate xfire

290 Pro here the sound and Mantle sold it for me.
