AMD "Hawaii" Architecture Diagram Leaked

An alleged company slide detailing the architecture of AMD's upcoming "Hawaii" GPU was leaked to the web, revealing a monstrous combination of components. The GPU maintains the same component hierarchy as "Tahiti." The most distinguishing feature here is that whereas "Tahiti" features two shader engines, "Hawaii" features four. What it translates to, is double the geometry processing power, four independent geometry processors with a tessellation unit each, and double the number of ROPs, at 64. Each shader unit features 11 compute units (CU), the number-crunching machinery of the GPU. Each CU holds 4 TMUs (texture memory units), and 64 stream processors.

The four shader engines of "Hawaii" are tied to a unified command processing structure, a 1 megabyte L2 cache, a 512-bit wide GDDR5 memory interfaces, and the ancillaries, that include the PCI-Express 3.0 x16 bus interface, six display controllers (six TMDS links in all), CrossFireX XDMA, and multimedia accelerators that include UVD (accelerates high-def video), VCE (video codec engine, accelerates multimedia codecs), and the new TrueAudio hardware DSP.

The NDA is lifted on the 15th October apparently, so it's now around 6pm in Sydney, will will see any reviews start popping up in about 6 hours here.

Lol come on people. Have we not learned anything from the rumour mill? Never believe anything you hear until it from official sources. I had a good LOL at some of the posts last night though. :D

Roy could be referring to the R9 280X no? Also there has been no clear date when the NDA will end, due to the NDA on the NDA. People wanted info on the 15th, I think that's what people are saying has been delayed, not the actual product launch so to speak, which we don't have a date for anyway.. :p. I think it has been dragged out to long at this point. Reviews plz.

Since there was no date set.
It can't be delayed.

I'll be surprised now if it comes out on the 15th.

Yeah exactly, everyone seemed to agree that something was going to happen on the 15th, i.e NDA end and reviews, maybe pre order pricing revealed and paper launch of some kind, but now no one is sure. So AMD haven't really delayed anything, but the launch is being dragged out to long, could become anti climax, people only like to wait so long.. Not really AMD's fault but the media leaks.

What's with all this secrecy anyway? Is it being developed by NASA or something?

Maybe it's going to be a huge disappointment, maybe it's so good they don't want to overshadow the launch of the other "new" cards or maybe they just like playing with us :)

I think as someone already mentioned previously in this thread that AMD is just holding the info close because of nvidia. Give them less of a chance to respond. Sure nvidia can still respond price wise if they get paranoid before the reveal but that also just about it.

Well the slides that we haven't seen yet definatly say not to be shown until the 15th, so if no availability then, that will mean we have had a launch event then a preorder date then the review release date and finally product availability.
All under the pretence of seeing what Nvidia will counter with, when of course the reality is that this is the counter to what Nvidia launched 5 months ago.

So no not a complete cluster **** at all. :D

As I have said many times if they had of just launched the dam things with immediate availability then Nvidia could not respond before the cards were available.

All this faffing about just annoys people.

I thought AMD were releasing these cards to respond to Nvidia's current line up of Titan down to a GTX 760 and didn't realise that they were in fact waiting to see if Nvidia make a move on a price drop or another release...

Edit:

Looking around at several forums and websites. Replies are "Stuff it, I am just going to buy a 780" or of similar ilk. Us PC players hate waiting (well I do), especially if we have the money set aside for a PC part. Maybe if AMD were more forthcoming with dates, this would have helped.
