AMD Radeon R9 290X with Hawaii GPU pictured, has 512-bit 4GB Memory

I'm kinda hoping they have some kind of overclocking potential, my 780 does 1228 on stock bios, so if i can finally get the volt hacks working i'm set for at least 1300+

I'll wait for proper reviews, otherwise i'll throw in the towel and get my deposit back! :D
 
Can someone run a 7970 1600 x 900 heaven 4 bench @ 1050 / 1250.

at 1920 x 1080P i'm getting ~800 points with my 7870XT, at 1600 x 900 about 930, thats + 15%

Score 916, GPU 7970 @1100/1500, CPU 3570k @4.0

+15% = 1053, 1500 would be about +45%

IF the 290x is faster than a 780 GTX non reference then I will take a gamble with two and hope AMD can get on top of their drivers, otherwise it's 2 780 classifieds. I'm just so impatient.

Aint really got the time during the week for anything more than browsing the forums/getting into arguments about CPUs! :D

Yer no probs and you did send me a message but I was in bed. My comp is on most times 24/7 as I use it to stream films to my bedroom TV.
 
All this talk is making me want a 780 so I can clock the pants off it..

So that frosty, is saying that the 290x is equal in most cases and better in others over a titan?

I read your original link translated and it does seem to coincide with what I said about being tied with some wins and some losses for both (game bench results).

The true test is what happens on overclocking IMO. Titans sit happily at 1150Mhz+ on air and no extra fiddling with obvious higher clocks with water. I badly want to see what the 290X can do in the same situations.
