AMD Radeon R9 295X2 Owners Thread

Yes m8, running a -55mV undervolt and also a fan at bottom of my R4 is intaking and pushing up onto card/other components. All-in-all I'm quite happy with my current setup, just need to improve the cpu cooling for when the warmer weather comes :)

edit - Let us all know if the new fan-setup improves temps :)

Good info Si.

Are you undervolting?

I love my Industrials, spent hundreds on them lol!

Did you get the 2000W psu ? can you tell us what are the difference in temp with stock and the noctura fans when they come ?
Also how are you going to control the rpm ? can you run 2 fans from the single connector that comes from the gpu ?
Also how do you have it mounted ? I've got it pipes down on the back of the case

That's a lot of questions! :D

I have the 2000W PSU and yes it's crazy powerful. Had it up at 2250 Watts so far.

I was going to connect both fans to the 3 pin header and allow the 295x2 to control the fan speed. However i may plug in my own fan controller if this does not work very well. I'll let you know how i get on.

I've got it mounted with the pipes up, but i understand it's better to mount with the pipes down so I'll change it over.

Hope to have more updates Fri/Sat/Sun. :)

I think amd are opening up an aftercare service to treat matt sometimes later this month. He seems to be trying to corner the market on r9 290 gpu's for some reason. :o

I'm an enthusiast at heart and I'm always looking to upgrade and change the parts in my rig, it's a hobby.

The 290X 4GB cards i bought from OcuK last year have been retired and now i fancy trying out a couple of 295x2's.

Got to say, they are lovely and money well spent. :)

Maybe so but seriously how many cards have you went through? I think you had 10 or 11 at one point, ones with elipda ram, ones with hynix, stock cards, msi lightnings etc. It's your money to spend obviously but most of the changes seem virtually pointless in terms of performance bumps.

I've sold a few cards that i bought myself, but being familiar with and owning a large range of AMD graphics products just allows me to do my job to the best of my ability. It just so happens that this is also a personal hobby of mine and i enjoy buying, testing and benching different Radeon cards. It's a lot of fun!

Nice to see a Vendor Rep thats actually a proper enthusiast as well, i think we can all atone to the fact Matt is also a die hard AMD fan and hasnt let his fame go to his head hahah :)

Now with that said, Matt give us the 380X infoz or your 290's will all go missing in the night!

If i do that, i won't be a vendor rep for very long Si. :p

Appreciate the support though, I'll just keep doing what i do. :)

Thumbs up to matt is what i say..

Good luck to him. not sure why him buying so many cards bothers some of you really!
His money at the end of the day.

I've gone thro i few cards my self.. now trying my 295X2 with a msi lightening :D

Just keep up the good work matt, there will always be one who just can't handle it ;)

Thanks mate. :)

290X 8GB cards offer something that no other solution on the market can. This is why I've kept hold of my 4x290X 8GB Sapphire reference cooled cards. :)

Dear God, all this card buying by Matt makes me want to buy another 295x2 NOW!!!!! :D :D :D

As an aside Matt, do you think my PSU would handle another?

edit - And if not, is TriFire a decent upgrade for high-resolutions? Am unsure of the gains tbh
