AMD Radeon R9 295X2 Owners Thread

Just running some tests on my eyefinity 3x 2560x1140 monitors.
resolution 7860x1140. running valley benchmark and using msi afterburner on screen monitoring im hitting over 7600mb of memory usage. i thought i would only be able to use 4gb of 295x2 memory not the full 8gb. anyone shed any light on this. was running x8 AA on ultra.
 
In Crossfire it calculates total memory use, so 8GB will be your max.
IIRC with SLI it just states single gpu memory, though I might be wrong.
 
Well I've decided I think I was just being lazy not willing to sell my PSU and get a new one that will accommodate a 295x2 and future dual cards.

I'd like to stick to a platinum rated PSU and from what I can see SuperFlower are pretty much the go to these days. This white one will also match my case:

Will be coming from a 970 so I expect a noticeable improvement.
 
I'm eyeing up the other one he has, great price and you know you can rely on Matt with the sale. Just a few questions before I'll most likely do another impulse buy I regret :p

One reason I've not bought one from him is the release of 3xx series.
 
That was in the back of my mind but tbh I can't see a single card beating it, I don't mind selling up down the road if it comes to that anyway :)

SLI would require a new motherboard as my soundcard isn't going anywhere :D

Are you selling your 295x2s already Matt? Do you have something secret and special to replace them with that we don't know about yet ;)
