AMD Radeon R9 295X2 Owners Thread

I basically unscrewed the mesh from the side of my case, slipped the fan/rad through it, then cut the tinest piece of mesh away to allow the pipes though and screwed all back together, looks perfect, and mean now and it's sooooo much cooler...:cool:

Is the fan blowing into or out of your case (or neither?)?

I didn't want to make a new thread to ask this. So I thought I'd hop in here and ask:

I currently have a 7970 oc in my system - I recently sold my 3X 24" 1920X1200 dell monitors and replaced them with a single Samsung 28" 4k monitor.

Is the ATI 295X2 card the way to go for my 4k monitor? Also, going off my past experience of the ATI X2 type cards. Are there any problems with certain games, micro glitching etc?

Really struggling with this card again :( I just can't get the second gpu to kick in, it's stuck at idle clocks. I've tried reinstalling drivers, disabling afterburner, resetting my overclocks.

:o

I use 2 290xs in crossfire, so close enough to the same thing.

I've had no noticeable microstuttering, nor have I had a bad experience with crossfire scaling, though others on this thread and on the AMD driver thread have.

I guess it might be because besides the new Total War game I've not really played anything from this year yet, though I've been assured we're used to more frequent crossfire profiles than has been the case of late.

I'd certainly recommend it, though if you can get a second 7970 on the cheap, that might be a good stop-gap until new AMD cards come :P

These are looking like a particularly good deal for those that managed to pick them up for £470 around Black Friday.

Still (generally) the champ when there's a crossfire profile available.

Done a fresh install of the drivers 3 times now. Uninstalled RadeonPro just in case, still no luck. Bleh.
Edit: finally fixed it. Apparently it was to do with a profile I made for Star Citizen *___*

vrm fan or the other one?

You cant change the vrm fan, that will change speed depending on vrm temps. And I dont think you can change the other one either not sure about that but im sure on the vrm fan.
