AMD Radeon R9 295X2 Owners Thread

I doubt they will drop much lower than they are, and will eventually just become unavailable as the rebrands and new cards take over If thats your plan might as well buy now, I cant see a 380 or what ever the rebrand is being cheaper than a 290x now.

No but if you're willing to go second hand then hopefully the prices will drop down nicely :)

Already pretty low.

I sold a 290 for £130 last month.

Superb value to be had in getting a 290 Crossfire (or even tri-fire) setup, assuming your PSU can hack it.

I've probably already lost about £50 on the one I bought from Matt, not even selling for £420 now in the MM.

Yeah, I think with new tech on it's way and them only having 4gb is the issue. Not forgetting about drivers too. If they were proper 8gb then they would have held value a lot better.

Probably most I would pay right now is £360.

for 1440 thay will be maxing games out for a long time to come and are perfect that use, the only real problem with 4gb memory is if you go to 4k monitor, but you need a lot more horse power for 4k gaming.

the one on the MM for £420 is struggling to sell because if you look in his posting history he mentioned in a few posts he was getting artefacts.

also the 295 is just two 290's and you can get 290's for £140 and i would always go dual card's over dual gpu card

Just to pick up on something here, the 295 is two 290"s not two 290x"s?

AMDMatt, do you have any of your videos or links to your 295X2 Quadfire setup please? would like to get a good gauge of how much an increase it is to take the plunge and buy another, especially at 1440p res. Do you think cooling would be an issue if they where sandwiched together please? the most temp ive seen on my current 295x2 is 65oc
