So pointing out the linking of disengineous figures makes me a shill.Did Nvidia not give you Boxing Day off? Man that sucks having to shill during the holidays.

Nice backwards logic you got there, but it’s from being filtered via AMDFanboyGlassesTm.
This, just don't expect mega perf with RT.AMD have their equivalent to shadowplay, low latency mode, DSR, DLSS, Adaptive Sync....... every "feature" Nvidia have AMD have.
So unless you didn't know that you must be talking about RT, in which case its only really viable if you're spending $1000 or more on the GPU, this for both sides. its niche.
So we are now buying in to features.
Your post history makes you a shill. Hopefully you get that 4090 with all the overtime you are putting inSo pointing out the linking of disengineous figures makes me a shill.

RT is a secondary feature even to the die hard RT fans. Why do AMD even have RT cores if you are going act as if they don't exist?
As the poster pointed out, you are cherry picking and not giving a complete picture. Why?
Not that I'd buy either of them, but the 4080 is worth a small premium over the 7900xtx. More power efficient and much better RT.

So you're happy with Nvidia's pricing.
TPU, 4K relative performance.
RTX 4080: 96% $1200
RX 7900XTX 100% $1000
RTX 4090 120% $1600
How much faster would the RX 7900XTX need to be to be worth the $1000 price?
twll that to the 7900 xtx aib that cost more than a 4090You can't have it both ways. You think $1000 for the 7900XTX is good value?
It's surprising how you go from $1200 is poor value for the 4080 to $1000 is good value for the 7900XTX. When the reality is the 7900XTX needs to be cheaper.

The 4090 btw is good value, just to blow your mind.

I never said that, are you happy with the 4080 pricing or not?
All cards other than my 6900 XT are poorly priced.
*Confirms marriage to GPU*
Well I paid close to 900 quid for the RTX 3070, then 650 for this.Even that at launch, I don't know (not that MSRP mattered back then).
This thread isn't about the 4080. The 7900XTX is poorly priced.
You can find my thoughts on the 4080 in other threads.
I already know what you think. AMD have pulled off a masterstroke right.
From memory, technically the 4090 achieves 4 x performance using RT and DLSS 3 in certain scenarios. Yet the die hard RT fans don’t seem to want this amazing performance increase. Surely if RT (and DLSS) is so important they would be buying these new cards.
