If it is plaits then not a great AIB based on experience with my old 1060There is a few 4080s for 1050 and 1099 atm so it’s a tough sell!
Thank you.. I need to hear it like it is and get grounded and stop fantasising about my expectations and just settle with what I have and be happy about it.I'll offer what will probably be the hardest option for you, but probably for the best........................................do nothing
Enjoy your very recently purchased 6900Xt, sit back grab the proverbial popcorn and enjoy the entertainment. There is nothing that you are missing out on that your damn fine GPU can't do already, and then some.
Look forward to Crimbo, enjoy life etc, play some games with your GPU.
Wait until Mid Jan to Feb of next year and see how the 7000 series have performed when people get to use them and AMD have pushed out a new driver, or two. It isn't just the power issues, it might be black screen and crashes etc. Buying a product that has not been tested in the market has risks. Mining does not need to be a factor, for now, in terms of stock. By mid Jan / Feb, who knows, Nvidia might have been compelled to take another look at their pricing...................perhaps not, with 88% market share, but we can live in hope
So, as hard as it might be...........................do nothing and enjoy your 6900XT.
(option 2)

I get so confused with all these different articles, reviews and opinions that I find it so hard to just to stick with a decision.
Yes, of course.. A lot of people like myself were looking forward to this day to be a part of a 7900XTX group on launch day, but the reality is, due to the bugs and power issues, I might not enjoy the 7900XTX as much as having a bug free and perfectly fine 6900XT GPU like you said.
I also got the 6900XT for a bargain price during Black Friday and just need to be content with that and look forward to the performance it offers when I finally build my new PC.
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asro...ddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-00n-ak.htmlI kind of envy you getting a 6900XT at a good price when you did.

6900XT 1825MHZ Core Clock. Boost Clock 2340Mhz vs 6900XT OC 2295MHz Core clock. Boost Clock. 2475MHz
6900XT 1825MHZ Core Clock. Boost Clock 2340Mhz vs 6900XT OC 2295MHz Core clock. Boost Clock. 2475MHz
ASRock 6900XT purchased on Black Friday was £656.65
ASRock 6900XT OC - £699.95
So what you are getting with the 6900XT OC is a £43.30 difference in price for 470MHz higher core clock and 135MHz more boost clock and . Is that right?
Anyone know what kind of performance percentage that is, or doesn't it really matter?
Exactly.. I just got back from picking up my car from its MOT and minor service. You're welcome
A combination of FOMO and the liking of new and shiny, and a few other "media" influenced based temptations sometimes gets the upper hand. Goodness knows how many times I would paly the "basket game"....................Product xxxx goes in basket, product xxxx goes out, goes in, goes out, goes in, doesn't get bought, goes out of stock, comes back in. And so on, rinse and repeat.
But you do have a stomping great card there. Just try and temper what you watch and read, spend the time playing games instead. By mid Jan / Feb we will all be better informed.
Your wallet will thank you
Instead use that money to pay your fuel bill, you might have some change left
Alright.. No more temptations. The OCF 6900 XT performs around a 6950 XT MBA card out the box I believe.
Performance doesn't go up in direct correlation to price though. It's the same with most things, to get that little bit extra, to obtain the best, you pay top price. Look at the 3080 and 3090. About 10% performance difference for double the price. The problem with the 4090 is that here in the UK it has terrible price/perf, even compared to the already terrible price/perf of the 4080 and 7900 XTX.
Approx. UK prices as of this date
7900 XTX = £1050
4080 RTX = £1200
4090 RTX = £1700
Price/Perf of 4090 vs the 7900 XTX (from TPU)
You will pay 61% more for
10% better raster and 38% better RT performance at 1080p
17% better raster and 45% better RT performance at 1440p
25% better raster and 55% better RT performance at 4K
Price/Perf of 4090 vs the 4080 (from TPU)
You will pay 41% more for
5% better raster and 18% better RT performance at 1080p
11% better raster and 26% better RT performance at 1440p
25% better raster and 34% better RT performance at 4K
All this talk of just paying the extra for the better/price perf of the 4090, is nonsense when we look at actual UK prices. None of them are remotely priced well.

So can i just understand this right the only cards that are instock are the reference cards and the AIB's are pre orders ? or have i missed something ?
Yes look at the 3080, it was £650... 2 YEARS ago. Just like the 2080 2 years before that. The 4080 shouldn't be double the price of a 3080, especially considering it has the same size silicon as a 3070.Performance doesn't go up in direct correlation to price though.
