AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3D Cache Eight Core 4.5GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - Retail - Go Go Go xD

I can't do anything set the CO, any of the values to the CPU. What I did last time was test it all in Ryzen Master. Then set it in the BIOS, it worked for me. And saved rebooting a million times.
I don't think you can do any adjustments in Ryzen Master with the 5800X3D unfortunately. Its pretty much totally locked down.

Go into your bios and in advanced mode>overclocking>advanced cpu config>kombo strike and set it to kombo strike 3 and save and enjoy. It's what ive done

-30 offset does wonders to this chip.

Messed about with some of the other values in PBO tuner - PPT 95 TDC 60 and EDC 90, found these value on Reddit for air coolers, seems ok so far but will report back any instability I see.

What air cooler are you running? I've had varying success with Noctua L12 and the Noctua C14S - although I'm in a mid tower build currently so using a 240mm AIO.

I've found with the 5800x3D that it almost doesn't matter what cooling you throw at it, it will get pretty hot pretty quickly - but it's by design and within spec.

Noctua nh-u12s redux

I upgraded a couple weeks back from the 5600x to the 5800x3d with the deepcool assassin 4, max temp is 75°c on cinebench with a score just over 15000, playing games it never gets above 60°c

Rather happy with the purchase, made use of a rainforest promotion so only paid £200 for the CPU

So installed today and was piping hot at 90c in test and BF2042 - did the PBO thing and set it to -30 all cores, no messing or trying the others and now it sits around 80c! Much better.
Let me know how you get on gaming.
Mine was 'fully stable' for benching with PBO/Kombo strike and differing conminations of SOC, TDC, EDC and PPT but then randomly heavy gameing would flat power off or reboot my machine.
Much easier and more stable leaving it how it came.

My version of benching doesn't involved fancy programs except maybe a dabble in 3dMark.

I tend to get straight to gaming and I have spent a few hours today on BF2042 and BF1 along with some NFS unbound and I didn't see any issues.

I believe BF are notoriously heavy on the CPU.
