Poll: AMD Screws Gamers: Sponsorships Likely Block DLSS

Are AMD out of order if they are found to be blocking DLSS on Starfield

  • Yes

  • No

Results are only viewable after voting.
Why is it not using those features? Because of AMD intentionally blocking them = anticonsumer.

Doesnt get simpler than that. Indeed the answer is simple. You were right about that.
Name 1 company or industry where something is sponsored or funded they promote a competitors product.

Why is AMD having to be exempt from it?

What about game engines? So you feel it's the same here? What about Sonya kraken architecture?

Lack of inclusion would be one. Reviewing their response statements not contradicting direct questions by numerous publications would be another.

The words you're looking for are preponderance of evidence.
The words you are looking for are 'I don't have any', Robert.

What about the AMD sponsored games that have DLSS?

AMD was asked if they block dlss

Their answer was we don't want to answer that question

If you play dumb games by not saying yes/no then you win dumb prizes by getting destroyed by the media

Not proof of anything, there are a bunch of game that have DLSS but no FSR, if that proof of Nvidia blocking FSR?
Wht is it ok for Nvidia to do that but not AMD, what's with the double standards?

a straight up answer would have saved them a lot of hassle. Whether it was yes or no, at least be honest about it.

I think media are destroying themselves with the ever increasingly idiotic nature of the content they put out.

Out of curiosity what is the source for this? I want to dig into the data some more

So you still can't answer why they can't provide a simple answer "no, we do not stipulate exclusivity of upscaling tech"

Again, your focus on open source is outright flawed as demonstrated by lack of XeSS. At this point, it's just pure corporate team spirit keeping you and others going.

I have no problem with AMD blocking out a competition. What do I have an issue is them not having the balls to stand by their decision.

I don't have to answer anything as I'm not the one making any claims about stuff being blocked out, that's purely on you.

@Grim5

Nvidia put out trash GPU's that are in performance terms the same as the previous gen GPU for the same money and then tell you to make up the missing performance with DLSS.

Along comes VideoCardz or whatever they call themselves and start monitoring which games have DLSS and which don't, they find a bunch that don't and start complaining AMD are stealing your performance by blocking DLSS, Hardware Unboxed jump on the story with the same reasoning.

Nvidia get away with selling trash that needs DLSS and its now its actually AMD's fault.

That has been the level of discourse in the PCMR debate for about a decade now and it is absolutely as insane as it is stupid.

TELL ME I'M WRONG.

One of the rules of open source is that if you integrate another's open source software in to your own then that software must also be open source, so that means Strealine and DLSS, AMD must have access to the source code for those software's.

Go ahead Nvidia, do the right thing....

What Nvidia want is for AMD to wave that right.
Even if dlss was opened up it still wont work on cards that dont have hardware tensor cores. People seem to forget that
