#### it! get it on console....

They don't use DLSS or RTX DUH. Who would want to buy one of those?

Again stupidity or malice?

Nvidia said "we don't block other upscaling tech, look we even made some software to make it easy for devs to implement all upscaling tech but AMD wanted nothing to do with it"

Compare that to AMD declining to comment.

So there you go, AMD blocking DLSS, Nvidia good guys.
--------

Its probably that simple, because they are stupid. They literally used exactly that reasoning in that context as the reasons for their ranting. Are they really that naive? Probably....

Or maybe there is something more to it, frankly i don't know what's worse, plain stupid, or helping Nvidia scam their user base?

You decide.
I think with the crash in hardware sales, lots of reviewers are finding less people bothering to watch tech videos. Hardware sales have crashed.

So a bit of drama will make more engagement. That puts the Twitter comments into some context. You don't attack your own viewers so aggressively otherwise.

It's no surprise that devs will use FSR (that's easy to install and works on everything), versus propriety DLSS that only works on Nvidia tensor cores and is harder to implement needing Nvidia's programming help.

:D

Well, they brought this about, again.... i ####### warned what was going to happen if they didn't approach DLSS with extreme caution given the obvious direction Nvidia were going with it, and here we are, now they are selling junk as premium products and still making more money than ever from them despite a collapse in sales, that's testament to the margins on these things, sell far less, still make more money, have more wafer supply for AI.

AMD's fault.

RTG marketing has been a failure for years and seems disconnected from the CPU side. AMD needs to operate as one company.

I was under the impression that DLSS was easy to implement these days?

Have they changed it from needing a load of AI analysis of the game on Nvidia's servers? If so, it's still only tied to a subset of Nvidia's GPUs, versus FSR that works on everything, including competitor Nvidia cards.

Yes, they also need to be more street smart, they still make a lot of mistakes, for example the 7900XT debacle was an obvious one, its like how could you not have foreseen that?????

And the way they deal with tech journalists, with the RX 7600 they should have said "we have listened to what you have said, we realise we made a mistake with the 7900XT, we don't want to repeat that mistake so we are dropping the 7600 to $270, its 30% faster than the card its replaced while also being 20% cheaper, we think that's very fair"

What can tech journalists say to that? how can they be angry with AMD for that? They were... and then gave it a bad review, some ###### how!

Now take this as an example, i would have just said "confirming or denying could reflect badly on our parter Bethesda so we chose not to comment at all" these people know there is no way out of it without throwing Bethesda under the bus, they don't care, which is why they demanded the answers in the first place, at least don't give them an inch of ground to stand on by simply replying "no comment"

Can't wait for the game's release now. :D
I'll give it a go on the Series X and my "4080" Legion laptop, so i guess i get the option of aiming for a higher frame rate than 30fps.
Wonder what settings i would need to hit 240 fps on my laptop
The previous Bethesda games were locked to 60FPS as the Physics went wonky when you got closer to 100FPS.

@humbug Whatever it is, Nvidia can market better. Lots of DLSS games lack FSR support and nobody bats an eyelid.

I'm sorry, this video tutorial on how to install dlss in 2 minutes must have been made by an nvidia programming genius, they paid him 1 million dollars, bloody greedy leather jacket man

Starfield is not on Unreal Engine. and that video assumes all your assets and custom / third party code is already DLSS compatible, why would it be?

clickbait video to draw clicks so they make money
dont you guys get that?

I'm enjoying the comments, HUB is generally pro AMD, so naturally the average HUB fan is having a panic attack and meltdown at the same time as evidenced by the comments in this thread and youtube and r/AMD
