I pull 300w on my 980ti (1.275v, 1.6ghz).

But you aren't running Prime 95 torture test running on all 16 cores whilst also playing a game. Even if somehow that combination happens a 750W PSU is designed to work.

However with that power consumption increase for only 3.9, I'd be tempted to leave it alone and let XFR work.

All core boost 3.6 GHz (4.2 GHz four-core XFR).

I kinda feel sorry for the motherboard manufacturers, from kabylake to coffeelake they've had like 9 new different chipsets that's they've had to design and build over the last 9 months. Must be a nightmare.

Yes am sure their *** in having to sell more boards when a new CPU socket/chipset is required. I bet mobo manufactures love intel

Thanks. I doubt I'll overclock, I think I'd rather have the XFR 4 core 4.2ghz performance when needed than limit to 3.9 on all cores and use a hell of a lot more power in the process.. If all cores could OC to 4.2 that would be a different story.

On memory, is there any reason to buy 3600mhz RAM for these? 8 Pack was showing 3200 in all tests, but is it easier to get 3600mhz memory to run at 3200mhz?
