AMD To Launch RV770 On June 18th

Is it worth putting my Gecube 3870 pre-overclocked (same price as a standard 1 and it sells) on the bay now, then dive into a 4850/4870 after my holiday??

Only downside is that my spare is an x300 :rolleyes:
 
na i dont think so man im going for a holiday myself in july 7 coming back august 8 and see how the prices is shaping up and how x2 cards are coming along. there is no point upgrading before holiday as u will not use your pc anyway :)

No seems OcUK have been really slow off the bat and have missed out on a days trading unless they never had any to start with. Maybe that TT review showing bad P45 performance is why Giga havn't got many boards out yet it is a problem with their board not the gfx card. Best to hope someone gives it a twirl on a asus P5Q and see if same thing happens.
 
Lets be honest, with the few stores already shopping these cards i don't see why the big guns just don't start selling them, end of the day if ATI and their Partners got peeved they could always argue that they didn't want to miss out on trade which is true.

I hope they have some in stock tomorrow otherwise my hard earned cash may be going somewhere else at this rate, want to see a few different prices before I go ahead.

Love the look of the 4870.
 
Wish I had the spare cash to get one looks like I'm going to miss the boat will probably have to keep my 8800gt forever now and use it as an in between upgrade backup card.Not worth me selling it now would be lucky to get £60 for it now.
