AMD Vs. Nvidia Image Quality - Old man yells at cloud

What do you mean?
The facts speak for themselves:

That is recent, before the big change AMD was known to have the label "Bad Driver" While I never had issues myself that still didn't stop the internet. Its since the big change that AMD has step up and created a driver software that has taken over nvidia.

Edit
Even your highlight link speaks volume to what I saying to you. :D

Quite agreed and in my time with both, I have had nothing worth whinging about in truth. What 4k8k is on about is the testing AMD paid someone to do. We did have a big discussion on it here back then also.

When I say over taken I really mean feature set. Mostly comparing what I use day to day, Relive has more options, Radeon Chill I swear by now for limiting my FPS etc without dragging this thread into a drive by :D

I can compare a titan XP direct with a VII vega on the same Rog 32” wide screen 1440p DP connection and to my eyes AMD have more vibrancy to colours on desktop and 3D

It just looks better, I am not saying nvidia is bad, just AMD VII looks better.

And then the Radeon V11 was launched.
I won't bother linking to Google showing the countless launch day reviews omplaining about the drivers and the card being horrid, because we all know that these things are being sorted. It is just a bit late and should have been done ready for launch day.

There used to be a truly dramatic difference in IQ - but for the most part, I'm referring to a number of years ago. The last Radeon I had was the 7970, and although I could see an image difference between that and my 980Ti in the few comparisons I made, it wasn't as noticeable as earlier on in my gaming days. I think it just comes down to what style you prefer. Both offer excellent quality.

I sometimes wonder if it's a little more of a level playing field in this respect now due to improvements made in AMD drivers/frame times (never had a problem with them myself), and maybe a bit of IQ tweaking on Nvidia's side?

Amd looks better to me. The colours look richer and deeper. I got a 2060 recently and sent it back. Card was lovely but couldn't get over the difference in image quality over my AMD card. Both on full RGB range and tweaking setting made no difference to the fundamental difference. I really really wanted to keep the 2060 as well.

Noticed a difference a long time back, stuck with amd since then, maybe it changed untill now but I still support AMD.
Also I dont know how many ppl know that amd drivers do not default to 4;4;4 full rgb after installation.

Weird they always default to full for me

I'm in the AMD just looks better camp as well and have been since the geforce2 days, to my eyes the ATI 8500 always looked better than the equivalent of the time, I remember moving from a geforce 3 ti500 to the 9700pro and noticed it then, for me it's fairly obvious to the eye every time I swap cards out I always notice that the stock settings on AMD hardware just seems right to me. I'm also in the camp where I end up trying to tune the NV settings more towards the AMD default but to me it never quite matches it. It could be my eyes or some unconscious bias on my part but that is my experience.

Really?

Even after that audit, which most of those articles are based on, was shown to have significant flaws in testing methodology, and you were active in that discussion, and yet you post to it again?

I guess you just ignored that though because it doesn't fit with your narrative.

Hint I'm not saying which has the better drivers these days.

Can't see any issue with my GF's 750Ti on the OLED.

Switch to RGB full and you will. Its a fact! Its not just me sitting here saying this! Its an actual fact that limited PC range = washed out image. Set it to PC Full range "Its called that for a reason" and calibrate the display for its best possible image.

Go on Youtube and look at the countless video and tell me Limited RGB looks better LOL
