AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Few bios bugs like not applying correctly ddr boot voltage ect. But got this stable. Passed 400% memory test 3800cl16 1:1 1.1 SoC 1.1 VDDG 1.05.
I can confirm that them 3900x are running on like Max out of the box. Will go for fixed all core at point when I can set P0 state with downvolting/downclocking in bios.
Quite Warm chips when running stress test maxed out at 74c

Could use Better mem sticks as always :D

Spent most of evening dusting pc out. It's been working 24/7 100% load for 14 months With not many days off.

I think Air flow took a hit HAHA

Your parcel will be with you today between 13:35 and 14:35
I'm using 3700x with PBO at the moment, I find that it maybe gives best performance over 4.1 all core BUT the heat is up to 10 degrees higher due to using higher voltages at load such as 1.46v
What Digi vrm settings you atm?

I really don't think I need a fancy motherboard and want a 3700x
Equally, I don't think I can really be bothered going through the if's and but's of getting a B450/X470
What am a loosing out on over a more expensive board by going in at < £200 for a X570 and which one would you choose?
I asked quite a few pages back so forgive the repeat but some of you have more experience now

I would avoid ASUS boards, something’s very wrong with them.

Any News on the 3800X ?

3800X is just a higher stock & boost of the 3700X, with higher TDP being higher factory OC

Same as the 1700 vs the 1800x, can still reach around same OC most of the time

If you want a more difference in Performance then its be the 3900X

I be going for the 3700x & save some money :)

Yeah, I am aware of that however I have changed my order from a 3700X to a 3800X as I feel longterm the extra TDP may end up with higher all core boosts once bios revisions occur, I was more concerned with stock and whether they have any news.

Thanks for posting though as I wasn't clear

This is the right call IMO.
If PBO isn't going to give much, and you don't expect manual overclocking to give much either, then going with the higher performance out of the box option is the better one despite the added cost.
IMO, there's probably no point in invalidating the warranty for negligible gains.

Me, - can i have a 3800x please?

Amd, - Lets launch a product on a sunday, Great idea! Lets also not ship any cpu's in advance so no one has any stock on release!! Awesome!! Also lets launch a cpu and call it the 3800x. Buuut lets not send any stock and tell people we will, see how long until they give up and buy the 3900x instead, Wow thats the perfect launch!! wait wait wait!!! Lets make sure the 3900x is limited to! GENIUS!!!
