From the testing I've done there's very little to be gained by going above 3600MHz, if anything. Certainly for my use-case anyway.
I agree mate. Apart from a few extra points in Cinebench there doesnt seem to be any tangible difference. Even overclocking to 4.3Ghz has given me a 1-2fps increase in AC:O and Division 2 benches over just letting the chip sort itself out.
Where in the X570 Taichi BIOS did you find the BLCK? I cant find it to save my life.
The default bass and treble levels make the music flat and poor. You for sure need access to the equalizer.

Looking to upgrade my 1600 to a 3700X to put into my x370 Taichi, to start with at least. I'm hoping for a cheap little perf gain until the next chips arrive where I may do a full upgrade.
Questions:
Which AGESA version am I looking at for the best plug and play? I was keeping up with the early bios updates but I've not been keeping an eye on it for the past couple weeks. Any users here that are running the x370 Taichi?
Is there a particular RAM set that will be best if I just want say 3600 plug and play? I will mess about with overclocking once I have brushed up on Zen 2 details, but I will ultimately be happy with 3600 CL16. I was looking at the cheap 3200 Crucial but am worried that getting this to 3600 will be a pain in the arse.

Running a 3700X on my x370 taichi. The latest release bios (5.80) is pretty stable now. There's a niggle about boost speeds being slightly lower than advertised, but that seems to be down to the AGESA 1.0.0.3 as it's also present across other motherboard vendors as well. AsRock are aware so hopefully they'll be able to find a fix.
What ram are you currently running with your 1600?

Reseated the AIO and now idling at 35 which is much better. Sits at about 70 max when gaming, but 5 Cinebench runs brings it to 80, which still seems too high for an AIO
I assume it's the setting called "APU/PCIe SRC Frequency (MHz)" under the OC Tweaker tab, and Overclock Mode set to manual.
I don't have this motherboard, so not been able to test this myself.
They are some team group 3200 (not 8 pack) and I only ever managed 2933 with a lot of work. They are A-die and I don't have high hopes for getting close to 3600. I will try before I buy anything else but may also try really low speed with tight timings, as we saw in the Linus video last week.

Personally, I would leave BCLK at 100 anyway.
I left it on 100 though. I posted the screenshot below earlier. I am finally achieving a great balance in performance and stability with my RAM overclock. Just testing one last setting now to see if it changed anything, otherwise I am good.
On board audio always sucks though, you get what you get. I tried it once and there was a huge lack of treble compared to my DAC. Everything sounds muffled.
For me the on board audio on the X570 Taichi sounds really good after using the app and tuning the audio a bit. I am using VModa M100 and V Moda Zn which are on the high end.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider benchmark at 1080p highest preset:
3600MHz 1800FLCK C16 (67.1ns) = 137fps
3800MHz 1900FLCK C16 (64.7ns) = 142fps
3800MHz 1900FLCK C15 (63.8ns) = 149fps
101.8 blck x 3733Mhz 1866FLCK C15 (63.5ns) = 152fps
CPU: 3700X - Stock PBO off
GPU: 2080ti - Stock
MB: MSI MEG ACE X570 AGESA 1.0.0.3AB
RAM: 16GB 3866C18 8-Pack
This is at 1080p though
