AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Okay this has to be my dumbest question, but I am at a loss.
When I installed the x570 i obviously installed all the motherboard drivers, including the audio.
But, and this has happened years ago, the realtek driver is installed but there is no sound manager for it in the task bar. I've tried uninstall and reinstalling but it's just not there.
Someone please advise this lost soul

Managed to pick up a 3900X elsewhere today, they had plenty of stock, was really surprised.

Can’t wait to get it installed tomorrow. Fighting the urge to upgrade my GPU now!

I think you have to get it from the windows store. I had to get the control panel for my onboard ac1220 on my x370

I had the same issues when I downloaded audio drivers not from my laptop's Acer support page.
The Audio package is 578.0 MB, version 6.0.1.8351, and includes Dolby Audio Settings Panel.

What is your motherboard and where do you get the audio installation file from?

I have no idea what to do but I am getting horrible boot issues now with my CH6. It just randomly refusing to boot, sits there at 100% GPU speed killing my ears. It gives random error codes.

I have to turn off and on multiple times just to get the damn thing to boot and when it does it tells me my overclocking has failed. The strange thing is I can then reboot with DDR at 3600 CL16 (or 3800 at looser timings) and it will pass Karhu RAM test for as long as it takes for me to get bored.

I even tried setting all CPU and DDR settings to auto (DDR2400) and it will still do this at random.

It's not stability, it just the boot problem.

Just a question : other than benchmark nbrs what is the real benefit u get going from ddr4 3200cl16 to 3600cl14 for example, is it even noticeable in games/apolocations etc.. anything other than benchmark?

Next to nothing, you can measure it via benchmark, but you'd never 'feel' the difference in games. Somegames 3200Mhz is quicker than 3600/3733. I'd just get some decent 3200Mhz.

Ye seen posts about that with this beta bios

4.1GHz optimized for low power consumption-->28W AVG CPU+SoC (CPU only 16W+12W SoC)
Started HWInfo64 after game was rdy to bench:

Very efficient CPUs.

Is the bios, me and zeed both had this, sometimes id turn on something minor in the bios and then 5 minutes to get past the post screen with all fans blazing

Didn't take long to get it all set up, my god are the 970 Pro drives fast!

Set my RAM to use their XMP and everything is running as smooth as a nut. Will be pushing it tomorrow, see what it's capable of. :)

There i cant get IF stable with cl14 to pass Ycruncher PI tried few settings no go. But This is why I dont bother with cl14... 0.2-0.1ns faster than cl16 in my case id get ram to pass no problem but Infinity fabric cant handle this would be ok for gaming i guess.

Well, I am not too sure about the x470 motherboards Agesa versions. But with X570, There is a bug if the Infinity fabric is running higher than 1800Mhz. It might be causing your test to fail and not the CL14. Agesa 1.0.0.3ab fixes this, but, will that come to x470 motherboards?

Second You should run your memory at 3733Mhz CL17. According to AMD that's the ideal setting for 1:1 ratio with the Infinity Fabric running at 1867Mhz.

You might have better luck running your memory at 3600Mhz if you really want to use Cl14.

EDIT: This is what I get when I write post so late at night. :) I mess up. On the x470 motherboards the Infinity Fabric and the Memory speed decouple after a certain speed to prevent crashing. The bug only applies to x570 chipsets.

Which leads to the question, are you gaining anything in performance by running memory higher than 3600Mhz on older chipsets? It's 1:1 ratio when it's coupled but divides 1:2 after 3600Mhz.

I'm getting 4.3Ghz @ 1.35v on my 3700x on all cores. I can get it to 4.4Ghz, but need to go to 1.425v which is a bit high for me. Ive run multiple benchmarks and real world usage and all seems stable. Quite happy with these results.

Seems like a decent chip. Now try your memory at 3800MHz and IF at 1900MHz :) That RAM will do it fine.
