AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

OK so I found this blog guide as I was going to fart around turning on things like PBO. This is what needs more clarity from guys on here if people are using it, can they tell the difference or is it just meh?

I'm hoping that the latest BIOS updates can get somewhere with what looks like a pointless setting judging by GN findings back in July.
Well Steve from Gamers Nexus said it was meh. To me it is something that is there if you either have a chip that is a bit meh or you do not want to mess about optimising it finding what voltages work best. PBO is never going to get you big gains from what I understand. Waste of time if you want big results, assuming your chip is up to it. Manual overclock FTW :D

@TNA can you highlight all the settings you touch in Ryzen Master and I will give it a go?
Input the MHz and input voltage. That is it.

I also found that I am better of locking the CCX and not doing every core different speed. If you still need me to highlight let me know.

Do a 4K8K, throw a tantrum and threaten to buy an Intel CPU! :p
Buy the intel 32 core analog? Sadly they don't have one. Nor 24 core. Just a meager 18 cores. And rumored to launch at $979, while current 18 core version is TWICE as expensive.

16 cores looking great for gaming.

The prices on the TR
Well, launch doesn't equal availability, so I might still end up with a 3900X instead.
True and might end up being a price gauging festival just hoping on day one it won't be. I would prefer it to be like it was on 7th of July although then there were a few products now its only one and a lot of people are waiting on it.

What did you do wrong last year?
Waited for Zen2 thats what i did wrong. I thought as per usual Zen1 and Zen+ it would be released around my bday in April. So i told her don't get me anything and help me get a cpu and so the waiting game started.. Little did i know it would take an extra 8 months to maybe get a cpu....

brilliant slide
"optimized for liquid cooling (280mm recommended)"
How do you optimize for that? Manufacture an extra hot processor?

It's for AMD's own good. They don't know what is good for them and this is why they recently were close to bankruptcy.
To put a 16-core HEDT flagship for 1080p gaming and call it a day is more than stupid!
