Single core test would have measured our IPC
There is a reason they didn't do that. Same as FPS counter in division......

Yeah ran the multi core in very weird situations like they have before and Intel has also . They'll hype train it up to the max but until we can buy product there isn't any point arguingWell they ran the multi something bench on cinebench and the two score the same really, both are 8 core 16 thread processors.
I wanted my 9900k destroyed along with my 1080ti....
AMD can beat Intel's top dog with half a chip and an ES sample at that.
I'm impressed and looking forward to release. 9900k sales aren't going to be too healthy on the back of those figures.
Here here well said. Can the Intel fanbois just leave now?
Single core run takes far too long for events like this. Seeing as it's only going to improve I think we can safely assume AMD is the new IPC king.

8 Amd cores (narrowly) beat the flagship desktop 8 core Intel cpu at a lower power draw....If they had then clicked the single core test and the ryzen had beaten it just id have been happy with that but nope . Wait for release boyos !

Its safe to assume that Amd have finally gained the Ipc crown. But yeah we can only sit back and wait to see what else comes out.
Why are people so pessimistic?
Are you saying that Amd pulled an Intel and run the demo in a industrial chiller at 6ghz or something? How can you say that when no clock speed was divulged?
Are you insane ?

Either 7nm clocks higher or Ipc is much higher or wizardry. Take your pick.

People are expecting too much. It’s 6 months or what ever to release they don’t need to show everything, what you got was a taste, savour it and show some patience. To be fair, i think it would show a different story with single core speed and ipc, but yes both processors which are 8c/16t score the same in multi core bench which lead me to believe it would have the same ipc/single core?
I thought ipc/single core would be like the same between the two processors, but factor in processor architecture which deals with single core/ipc?
Of course but it’s certainly not wild speculation to think that the jump to 7nm can gain 100 or so points In cinebench.Just have to see . Also you couldn't see the systems it's all speculation
Actually according to some data over at Guru3D it does beat the 1080Ti handily and is sparing with the 2080.RAD 7 on 7nm not even beating a 1080ti
Zen2 ES chip just beat released 9900K. That's a big difference.Zen 2 not destroying a 9900k
